Key takeaways of zdnet
- You will get a lot of light linux distribution.
- Not all Linux distribution were made rapidly.
- These speed demons are ready to impress you.
Linux is many things for many people. For some, this is a way to keep the old hardware strong. Linux completes it by offering several light linux distribution, or distribution that are just plain faster. Even better, when using such distribution, you usually do not have to renounce features and integration.
Below are my favorite fast linux distribution.

1. Redoxos
Redoxos is a special type of Linux distribution that uses a microconnel and is written in the corrosion. For those who do not know, the rust is a programming language which is famous for being faster. I am using the Cosmic Desktop environment of System76, which is also written in the war and rapid lightning is falling. Imagine an entire OS written in the same language. This is why there is redoxos, and it is zippy. This is, hands down, the fastest operating system I have ever used. The apps open in the blink of an eye, and everything works so easily. A part of the cause of this speed is the minimum number of applications that have been presented, meaning that low background services are running.
An issue with Redoxos This can give you a break: it is not quite finished. Yes, you can install OS and use it, but you will be disappointed quickly because they start depositing the features that do not work. This is fine because it is still early in development (currently on 0.9.0 release). Although Redoxos is not ready for prime time, it is definitely worth establishing, if only an operating system to experience speed that you have never seen before.
With the OS and desktop environment, you will find the following installed apps: calendar, terminal app, file manager, a minecraft client, image viewer, periodic table, and pixelcanon (which is not an app per app, but the redoxososososa is). Like almost all Linux distribution, this speedster can be downloaded and installed, and can be used for free. Just remember that the current version is not a viable option for everyday use. I will wait until he first gives a shot to release completely.
The speed of Redox OS is out of this world.

2. Linux light
As the name means, the linux light is light. This open-source OS is also one of many light distribution, which means, by nature, this OS Needed be fast. Linux lights achieve your speed by not adding much to the way of aesthetics. This distribution is a basic, gate-to-work operating system that does not include bells and whistles. In fact, only one thing about Linux Light that will take you, “Wow!” The speed is, because this distribution can definitely be galloped with the best of them.

Linux Light uses a slightly tailed version of the XFCE desktop environment, which also adds to its speed. Because it uses XFCE (aka “Queen of Customization”), you can convert the desktop into your heart content, knowing that OS will be a speedster. Outside the box, you will get applications such as Chrome, Libraofy (including base, to make database), GIMP, photo manager, DIP backup, VLC Media Player, an USB image writer, an onscreen keyboard, timeshift (for the restoration marks), so it is not lacking for apps. Linux lights can be installed and used on many computers as required, for free.

3. Xubuntu
Another distribution that bends in XFCE is Xubuntu. It is a Ubuntu spin that uses XFCE desktop (hence the name), which means that it is not only fast but highly configured. Out of the box, you will find the following apps Preinstold: Libraofy (office suit), firefox (web browser), thunderbird (email client), transmission (torrent client), catfish (file search tool), GIMP (Image Editor), Rhythm, REMBOX (Music Player), Article Dolor, Article Dollar, More.
The default desktop layout is minimal (not a top and down panel and not too much), but it uses Linux quite straight. Because it is xfce, you can customize it how you want, and yet it is one of the fastest operating systems you use. I will caution you with this warning: XFCE is highly configuble, which means not only a ton option to choose, but there are also many options that can be unusable to the desktops (if improperly configured). If you want a sharp and simple OS, then Linux is a great place to start the light.
4. Bodhi Linux
Bohadi Linux holds a special place in my heart. The reason for this is that Moksha is based on desktop enlightenment, which was my favorite Linux window manager over the years. Although salvation desktop is any opposite used by you (especially if you are coming from Macos or Windows), it is a pleasure to do the work. Moksha is highly configured, light and rapid as almost any desktop on the market.
Bodhi Linux is quite cute, and although it may not be the most user friendly delivery available, once you are used for the way you work, you all make sense correctly (and wonder why the other des has not followed the suit). For example, if you right-click anywhere on the desktop, you will see the desktop menu, allowing you to launch the application. Bodhi Linux also retains one of my favorite features of any desktop environment. If you double-click on the Titler of an application, the window shades up, which means that it rolls, only leaves the Titleber behind. This is a great way to multitasque without minimizing applications. And, of course, Bodhi Linux is very, very fast.
The green theme of salvation is now default.

5. Puppy linux
The puppy linux is actually a collection of several linux distribution, each of which is formed on the same shared principles, which is built on top of a unique set of puppy-specific applications and configurations. The reason for this functioning is to provide a consistent “puppy” experience. Puppy Linux is easy to use, is very small, sharp, versatile, and it is based on either Ubuntu, Debian, or Zero Linux (depending on the version you choose).
The puppy is also available for 32 and 64-bit hardware, and if you have an aging 32-bit system, you will be surprised on the puppy linux. The puppy has its own package manager (PPM), which can install from default repository or third parties. Keep in mind that some applications were made for walking on a specific version of the puppy linux. If you get an application that does not follow the version you choose, you can leave it or jump into the puppy version, which includes software you need.
