Designing a wide web app, dashboard, or even spreadsheet may take you hours to complete. What if someone or a few can do the same thing in a few minutes? This is the idea behind the new labs tool from Perplexity AI.
One in Blog post published on ThursdayPerplexity explained how you can create anything from labs reports to spreadsheets to dashboard to simple web apps. The new feature is accessible only to Pro customers, which pay $ 20 per month (although there are some ways to score the plan for free).

This new capacity is available Perplexity website And his IOS And Android Apps. The company has also promised imminent arrival in its Windows and Mac apps.
Perplexity labs are the formation of material for Nth degree. Equipment can help you design and complete a host of projects both individual and professional. Whether you are planning a meal, analyzing your financial situation, or developing a marketing campaign, you can use laboratories to make your idea muscular from beginning to end.

It all seems helpful. But what is really good is the way perplexity labs can create interactive materials for you.
To kick things, just choose labs icons on the prompt and submit your request. The labs then go into action, consult the required web sources, compile data, and finally create their project. This will also tell you how many minutes will take to complete the work, usually at least 10 minutes, but sometimes, based on the project.
What can generate perplexity labs?
1. Computer code
Explain the purpose of your code or program to the labs, and it will write for you. Equipment can deal with specific tasks such as structuring data, implementing formulas and creating charts. This will then execute the code to see how it works. From there, you are able to modify your request or details, and the laboratory will update the code for you.
2. Report
Give the theme of the report you make, and compile the necessary information to the laboratories. In response, it creates a dynamic report with lessons, charts, graphs and images. Any file that makes it during the process is kept in an asset section, so you can look and download them all.

To try this, I have asked labs to make a report that corresponds to each arrival of Haley’s comet with important events on Earth. After collecting several minutes of data and asset construction, the tool gave a detailed report with links, charts and images (showing the arrival of the comet with a wonderful image of a tapestry from 1066). The report was well documented and arranged, which broke the information into different classes.
3. Spreadsheet
Here, the lab can design anything from a simple table to a complex, interactive spreadsheet. Then, just give it the subject or goal of the spreadsheet. The equipment finds the necessary information and makes what you want.

To try this, I asked the labs to design an interactive spreadsheet for Sudoku Paheli. In response, it took to Sudoku to gather rules and regulations to the web and then a spreadsheet was designed which I can access online or download my PC.
4. Dashboard
A dashboard is going to provide visual information in a clear and attractive way. For this one, I asked Labs to create an interactive dashboard, showing me the performance of NASDAQ from 1971 to 2025. After several minutes of research and material construction, the tool presented me with the type of dashboard that I wanted.

Beyond showing me the rise of Nasdaq from its inception to the present, it set the drop-down menu which I could use to change the narrow or scope. A menu changed me the time period for all years only in modern era (1990–2025), 21st century (2000–2025), or last 15 years (2010-2025). Another allowed me to switch between a linear and logarrian scale.
5. Mini apps
Need to develop a quick but useful program? Lab can help you by designing a mini app. For this one, I asked it to create a web app that shows the current time area with a drop-down menu to choose a specific area for all regions of the world. Labs created an app that displays time fields for many major cities around the world. By clicking on the drop-down menu and selecting a specific city, I was able to add my time field to the results.
Depending on the project and materials generated, you can usually download it, share it with someone else, export it to a specific format, or publish it.

Overall, I was influenced by the results. Here and there were some glitches. One of the drop-down menu in Nasdac dashboard failed to do work. And the Sudoku game was throwing a dialog box that refused to disappear. But I am sure they could be fixed with some fine-tuning.
Perplex said in its post, “Labs reports and spreadsheets to dashboard and simple web apps can create everything – all are supported by comprehensive research and analysis.” “Often performing 10 minutes or more self-preserved tasks, Perplexity Labs uses a suit of devices such as deep web browsing, code execution, and charts and image building to turn their ideas and the work that has been done can work in 10 minutes.
