AI is no longer an experiment in the security stack – it is becoming the centerpiece. Foundry’s 2025 Security Priorities study shows that 58% of organizations plan to increase spending on AI-enabled security tools next year, signaling a decisive shift from curiosity to commitment. And it’s not just a trend-following budget. The research found that 93% say they are already using or actively researching using AI in their security technologies in the next 12 months.
The urgency is understandable. CISOs are seeing attackers weaponizing generative AI to automate phishing, create deepfakes, and create more concrete social engineering campaigns. In response, they are turning to agentic and generative AI to strengthen security, enhance analytics, and improve resiliency at scale.
