GPT-5 has finally arrived. With the announcement of the much awaited AI model, OpenAII also previewed several updates in the chat, which included visual changes to improve the performance of the chatbot.
There is a group of all changes that you can expect to see in Chatgpt.
Say goodbye to model picker
With the GPT-5 rollout, the Openai model is getting rid of picker and retiring many of its old models, including GPT-4o, GPT-4.1 and GPT-4.5. Chatgpt now runs on the GPT-5 by default, and has a “single auto-switching system” that adds its previous model to the “sharp, clever model”, which ends the need to theoretically to swap among the models for various purposes.
However, Chatgpt Plus, Pro, and team users can still use a model picker that allows them to switch between GPT-5 or GPT-5 thinking. Pro and team users will also get access to GPT-Keeping Pro.
Openai gives “personality”
One of the largest updates coming in Chatgpt has the ability to choose from four new “personalities” for lesson-based reactions. This way Openai describes each of them,
Disabled: Satire and dry, blunt help with intelligence. Often irritates, but provides direct, practical answers when it matters.
Robot: To provide a direct answer without accurate, efficient and emotionless, additional words.
audience: Hot and kept back, reflect your thoughts back with calm clarity and light intelligence.
nerd: Fickle and curious, celebrating the concepts, celebrating knowledge and discovery clearly.
These new personalities sound as they can be fun to play around. But if you are not a fan, you can always switch back to the “default” style of Chatgpt.
Better vibe coding capabilities
Vibe coding, or the process of having AI -generated code based on natural language signals, got an upgrade on just chat. Openai says that GPT-5 is better in processing complex and descriptive signals when asking to create an app or website. You can then see – and can interact – with the preview of what AI Chatbot has made by opening the canvas.
The Openai is starting new ways to customize the interface of the chatgpt. With this update, you can set an accent color that will change the appearance of your conversation bubbles, voice buttons and highlighted text.
To do this on the web, click on your profile icon, choose setting , GeneralFrom there, choose an option from within Pronunciation drop down. You can do the same thing on mobile by tapping your profile picture, heading IndividualizationAnd exploitation Color scheme,
Advanced voice mode can “customize” you
The advanced voice mode of Chatgpt, which allows for more natural-sounding spoke conversations, is receiving an update for paid users that would be better to understand the instructions, as well as allow customers to twist its speaking style.
Openai also announced that it is retirement of standard voice mode, but it is offering the “close-violations” use of advanced voice mode to paid users, and in turn bringing “hours” of additional use for free users. Advanced Voice Mode now also works with Custom GPT.
Easily connect your Gmail and Google Calendar
Finally, Openai is making its gmail account and linking the Google calendar to chatgpt. As Explained in a demoThe chatter will now ask you to add your gmail or calendar when you enter a prompt, such as “help me planning my schedule tomorrow.” Once you link your account, Chatgpt will draw you to plan your day with your schedule and your email, inform you about missed email, and much more.
The ability to connect these accounts is coming to supporter users next week, “coming forward with other levels.”
