It is easy to set and migrate the dashlen from another password manager, and you will use a secret key to encryp your password, very much like the setup process of Bitwardon. In practice, Dashlen is similar to others in this list. The dashlen provides a 30-day free test, so you can test it before committing it.

7 Best Password Manager (2025), tested and reviewed

    Photograph: Nordpass

You can know Nord better for its VPN service, but the company also provides a password manager, NordpassAnd a very good online storage system, NordalockerA part of the Nordpas appeal comes to bundle it with other services of the company for some compelling deals. As a password manager, the Nordpass provides everything you need. It uses a zero-knowledge setup in which all data are encrypted on your device before the company is uploaded on the server. Unlike most of the services here, NordPass uses Xchacha20 for encryption. Cryptography will require a deep dive in cryptography to get into differences, but the short story is that it is only safe and perhaps slightly faster than the AES -256 encryption used by other services.

Your address, phone number and other personal data are a personal information collection facility to keep and safe, but easy to reach. Nordpas also offers an emergency access facility, which allows you to provide another Nordpas user emergency access to your vault. It acts as the same feature in 1password, if you can’t, allow reliable friends or family to reach your account.

Other good features include support for two-factor authentication to sign in to your account, as well as safety tools to evaluate the strength of your password and consume you if any of your data is compromised. Note that the Nordpass premium is theoretically $ 3 per month, but always sales that are very low.

The negative side, and one of my hold about all Nord services, is that there is no monthly plan. As mentioned above, the best deal comes under combination with Nordpas, Nordwapy and Nordalocker for a bundle deal. A free version of Nordpas is available, but it is limited to only one tool.

    Best DIY Options (Self-Hosted)

Want to maintain more control over your data in Cloud? Sink your password vault yourself. The services below do not store any of your data on their server. This means that the attackers have nothing to target. Instead of storing your password, these services use a local vault to store your data, and then you can sink that vault using a file-skin service like Dropbox, nextOr Edward Snowden Recommended service, SpideryThere are two services to keep track in this scenario, making it slightly more complicated. But if you are already using a file-syncing file service, this can be a good option.

You can also host your own vault properly with a network-sighing collection or a local server.

    Etiquette

The enpass does not collect any data on its server. Sinking is handled through third-party services. The enpass does not do syncing, but it provides apps on every platform. This means that once you set up the syncing, it acts like any other service. And you do not have to worry about being hacked, because your data is not on its server. The enpass supports sinking through any service using dropbox, Google Drive, Onedrive, ICLUD, Box, NextCloud, or Webdav. I wish, Spiderok is not currently supported. You can also synchronize your data on local Wlan or Wi-Fi networks.

A password manager has all the features you required here, including auto-generating passwords, brech-monitoring, biometric login (for devices supporting it), auto-filing passwords, and other types of data to store other types of data, such as credit cards and identity data. Your vault also has a password audit facility to highlight any weak or duplicate password. An additional I prefer especially have the ability to tag passwords for easy search. EnPASS also makes the syncing settings much easier through the service of its choice. Surround Support added to passkeysVery.
