When this is the time for monitor shopping, one of the features I seek is the USB Pasithru-Belt-in USB port that takes the data and power back to the PC via a connection. It is a small but incredibly convenient feature that essentially converts the monitor into a mini USB hub. Since the back and front USB ports of my PC are compulsoryly occupied permanently, it is quite easy to place these additional USB ports in such a convenient location.
The result is a cleaner, a more functional desk setup in which USB ports exactly where I need them. Port eliminates the requirement of an outer hub, which protects the desk space by keeping everything within easy access. By the end of this article, you probably wonder why you are not using them all.

Power my desk lamp
The most common setup that I use with the USB port of my LG 27GR83Q-B incl Easily, both lamps have an additional USB-A port that I can use for other devices, which I will get soon.
Thanks to the relatively small cables, this convenient setup keeps my desk disorganized, even while I still provide quick access to the USB-C port, whenever I need to plug something.
If you already have a desk lamp in your PC setup, stop reading and get one immediately (but please come back and finish the article later).
I started using lamps only one year ago, and they have completely changed my late night gaming and work sessions.

Lum Cube Edge Lite 2.0 Review: This is the best desk light I have ever used
Lum Cube Edge Lite 2.0 has two USB ports, adaptable luster and a range of color temperature and adjustment.
At the top of creating a warm, invited environment on my desk, having more light helps to significantly reduce the distance of the eye.
If you watch your desk in the dark in several hours, a monitor light can do better than my lamp. Plug it directly to the monitor means that it will be attached even when it is climbed on a monitor arm and you often shift it around.

Charge my equipment
As I mentioned earlier, both of my desk lamps have additional USB-A ports that I use to provide strength to various devices, effectively create a daisy chain.
Most of the time, I charge the gadget through these ports – whether it is through devices like my cheap Qui wireless charger or my smartwatch with my proprietary charger, many couples of earbuds, a Bluetooth speaker, AA Battery of Xbox One Controller, AA Battery, LED closette lights, and many other items.

By charging these devices within the vision instead of plugging in front of or back in front of or back, I can easily tell when they are doing, unplug them, and can come back to use them quickly.
You can cheat it a little, but since the lamps are still technically connected to the monitor, I think it is appropriate to mention the case of this use. In addition, I have recently found a second lamp; Earlier, I just used a regular USB cable to charge my equipment.

Connect my controller
When I am doing gaming at my desk instead of TV, I like to plug into my controller – Monitor is the right place to do it. Since it is correct in front of me, and the cable is already plugged, it can run near the controller without coming directly, for a clean and convenient setup.
Using a wired connection provides a little less input leg, which can give me a very little lead in competitive online games like Rocket league,
Before you ask, the USB port of the monitor does not add any input gaps, not almost as that of at least 2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth. The ports on the monitor perform the same function as the front-panel USB port on your PC, connecting the motherboard directly through a cable.

Should you use HDMI, displayport or USB-C for 4K monitor?
HDMI, displayport, USB-C, and Thunderbolt are now all common, but which is the best?
Wired connections are also more reliable. While the 2.4GHz wireless is generally stable, it is still unsafe for intervention, especially because my setup includes many other wireless devices, namely, a Wi-Fi router, gaming headset, keyboard and two wireless mice.
I have experienced a signal drop once or twice in just six months, I have owned Cyclone 2, but even in the wrong moment in the online match, you can spend the same disconnect in the wrong moment.
My old Xbox One Controller was worse for this because I used Bluetooth. I was used to use wired, which I have now stuck with wired play, a part of it is that I have a gamer Cyclone 2.

Gamesir Cyclone is a wireless controller for 2 pcs, switches and mobiles equipped with TMR electromagnetic stick, mechanical face button and two rear paddle. The controller provides several high-end features at a reasonable price.
Another advantage of plugging my controller is that I do not have to worry about charging. I did not buy alternative charging dock, and in charging my Xbox One Controller include removing AA battery and using a separate charger. By keeping the controllers wired, the battery tops up-or completely unused-so they are always ready for a quick gaming session on the couch or local cum-up when friends come.

Ever use my webcam
I rarely use my fifteen year old webcam. In fact, it has exceeded six months because I needed it for the last time – and still, I plugged it to the USB port of my old monitor. This setup understood: My previous PC also had less motherboard USB ports than my current one, and webcam cable is very low, so using the port of the monitor was a no-brine.
At that time, I suspected that the driver would identify the web camera when plugged into the monitor. For my surprise, it worked innocent. The next time I will have a conference call, I will use it as an excuse to upgrade to the webcam made in this decade – and you can bet that I am still plugging it in the monitor.
Like Mark ZuckerbergI do not like to indicate a webcam all the time. Even if it is not hacked or I have tape on it, I do not want that thing to close my monitor’s clean bezel. When the time comes, it is easy to unplug and plug back into my monitor.
5
Plug in USB flash drive
What is better use for a built -in USB hub than plugging in flash drives? Of course, since my monitor’s USB 3.0 ports are back, I usually choose for one of my PC front ports.
However, when I am transferring files between several flash drives or using them for temporary storage, when my NVMEM fills with the game, the USB port of the monitor becomes a convenient option.
6
Power My USB Desk Fan
My trusted USB fan is a semi-stable addition to my desk during summer days. It is an essential accessory that keeps my face and hands cool. And like my many other desk accessories, it is not a better place to plug it than my monitor.
I usually connect it to my desk lamps, but if you do not have more lamps, or if you have more than two USB ports in your monitor, you can easily plug it directly to the monitor.
7
Plug in wireless dongle
Between my two wireless keyboard, controller, Bluetooth dongle, earbuds, gaming headsets and two wireless mice, there are so many 2.4GHz dongles and receivers to keep tracks, and I can’t keep them all in front or back of the PC.
It is not that I ever plug them into the back, anyway. The giant metal box filled with components and electromagnetic noise is basically a signal intervention machine.
Fortunately, the panel of the monitor is only thin enough to allow to pass signs without any problem, at least from my personal experience. So I like to use its USB port for the dongle when I run out of the room on the front i/o. I will sacrifice many lamps if needed.

Nothing in my setup is really permanent, as you can probably tell you so far.
