I never liked the way you control a kindle. Tapping the screen takes you to the next page. To reach the major settings, you have to swipe from top to bottom of the screen. To see the page timeline and slider, you have to swipe from the bottom. To see other settings or return to your library, you just have to tap to the top at the right place. Yes, you can take a pinch to zoom in and out the screen, but this is about the only familiar aspect.

Kindle is definitely an effective tool for reading e -books. But I still like iPad Mini for the reasons I have mentioned here. For me, Apple Tablet is not only a more versatile tool, but as an eBook reader works well. With both an iPad Mini and Kindle on my nightstand, I always arrive for the iPad when I want to read a good book before bedtime.
