Your Android phone is full of facilities to make your life easier and more efficient. However, many of these excessive accessories often do not get any attention, hidden in plain vision, but if you knew how convenient your phone could be, you will be surprised.

If you are not constantly checking what updates are coming on your phone, then you are likely to remember many free features associated with regular updates. Google often combines features to make your life so easy and quietly combines them. Some of these characteristics take longer to remember than others, but they are all worth learning.

    Fast app echswitching

Fast app switching is an easy android feature that many people do not use, but it makes multitasking much easier. You can switch the left or right on the small bar to the lower part of the screen to switch between your most recent apps. If you like the classic three-button navigation, double-tap the “Recent Apps” button to jump between the application, like pressing the alt+tab on the computer.

Some advanced gestures also let you look on open apps so that you can compare them before switching. Learning to use fast app switching can make it more convenient using many apps. Instead of closing an app and opening another every time, you can quickly flip between them without losing attention.

    Split – Screen Multitasking

Split-screen multitasking on Android phones make you more productive using two apps at the same time. This feature divides the screen in half so that you can look and use two apps next to each other, meaning that you do not need to switch between them. For example, you can see something in a web browser, while watching the video while writing a note or when text it.

To turn it on, start by opening the first app that you want to use. Then, by tapping or swiping and holding the square button, go to the app screen recently. Next, tap on the icon of the app you want to use in split-screen mode and choose “split screen”. The first app will shrink the screen up to half, and you can choose another app to fill the second half. You can also move the divider to make an app big or small.

Android phones come with an underlying QR code scanner, a feature that many people do not notice, even though it is very useful. This underlying scanner lets you scan the QR code quickly and safely without downloading the risky third-party application. Most new Android phones (such as Samsung, Pixel and OnePlus models) can automatically identify and scan the QR code when opening the camera. Just indicate it on the code, and a link or prompt will appear immediately.

You can also use Google lens, which works through the camera or widget, which you have to scan the QR code from the pre -existing photos or screenshots. The QR code lets you reach the information fast and without mistakes, whether it is the details of the event, the product safety information, or something. You save time by making it easy to get information.

“Flip to Shh” is a low-covered Android feature for Google Pixel phone that silently handles information. Unlike Samsung’s “Mute with gestures”, which only silences active calls and alarms, “Flip to Shah” when you put your phone screen down on a flat surface, do not automatically do not disturb mode. This prevents all calls, messages and other information from making noise.

To turn it on, go to settings, systems, gestures, and choose “Flip to Shh”. Switch it, and when you do not activate you will feel a small vibration, so you will not have to play with the menu or quick settings. It is perfect for meetings, dinner with family, or anytime you need to focus, for this you can clarify your phone.

    Tap

Quick tap (also known as back tap) is a useful but often unseen android feature that allows you to set a custom shortcut by tapping behind your phone. This lets you take action quickly without the need to interact with the screen.

If you have Google Pixel 4A (5G) or a new model, you can turn on quick tap by selecting the settings, then system, then gestures, and actions to start tasks. Samsung Galaxy users can use a similar feature called “Good Lock” app and “resistar” module from Samsung Store and use a similar feature called “Back Tap Action”. There is an option in both versions that accidentally called “strong taps” to avoid triggering the convenience.

App pinning is a rarely used Android feature that locks your phone on just one app, making it extremely useful for privacy and control when you use your device to someone else. This prevents others from switching on other apps, going to home screen, or looking at your personal information until you unplay the app, act as a digital “lock” for your phone.

To turn it on, go to your phone’s safety and privacy settings, then see more safety settings, and find out the option with “PIN app” or “app pinning”. Turn on it and turn on the additional safety settings that enter your screen lock pin or uses your fingerprint to unplay the app. After enabling it, open the app you want to pin, recently go to the app screen (by pressing the square button or holding up and holding), tap on the icon of the app, and choose “PIN” or “Pin this app”.

    Guest genre

Guest mode on Android is a useful feature that many people do not notice, but it lets you make a separate profile on your device, which when you need to share your phone temporarily, it is perfect for it. It borrows your phone by keeping your personal information safe and looking at your personal files, messages, or photos under your control.

To turn it on, go to the settings, then switch to users and accounts (or uniform options), and “Use many users”. After that, you can switch to the guest profile from the Quick Settings menu. When in guest mode, important features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth still work, and you can choose to allow calls and texts. Guests can also sign in with their own Google Play accounts to download the app, which keeps their information separate from you.

    Live transcarib

Live transcarib provides immediate captions for spoken interactions, which are helpful for people with listening difficulties, taking notes, or determining the text. Made in partnership with the University of Galodet, it works with more than 70 languages, identifies background sounds, and keeps private interactions private to save them. Because it is easy to use and free, it helps to communicate a wide range of users more effectively.

If you speak another language or communicate with those who do with them, it is a great way to achieve instantaneous translations without dealing with Google translation and spends time to ensure that you hear them correctly. Overall, if you are working with many languages, it is a regular app regularly.

    Circle to search

The Google Circle is running on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

    Justin Duno / How-to Geek

Circle to search is a useful Android feature that lets you find things immediately without leaving the app that you are using. It works on new pixels and galaxy phones, turning its device into an easy tool to find information quickly.

This is great for everyday tasks. When shopping, it helps you find products and compare prices in USD. For learning, it gives you an explanation of things you do not recognize. While traveling, it can translate signs or help you identify famous places. It makes it easy to copy the text from pictures or PDF and scan the QR code on your screen, so you do not need to save them in your gallery. Because it works smoothly inside any app, saves circle time to search and simplifies everyday tasks.

To use it, keep the home button or navigation bar pressed, then circles, highlight, scribe or tap on any text, image or video to start Google search. The results will appear at the bottom of your screen, so you can check the details, link or AI summary without closing what you are doing. If you want, you can take the search bar to a different place.

Your pixel has some tricks above your sleeves.

As you can see, you can do more than your Android phone as you can think. It comes with many hidden characteristics that are to make your life easier and more organized. Certainly, some things like live translator are not applied to everyone, but it is still a useful app that you can put behind your mind.

Spend some time to try these features, and you can find your next favorite thing to do on your phone. In the worst situation, you can feel like a technical talent by showing these features to your friends. Either way, it is very good to know less used features because you can actually improve your phone’s efficiency.
