End-to-end encryption (e2ee) Is available on WhatsApp The messaging app stops you for a good start for privacy and security. This does not mean that someone else – hackers, law enforcement, or meta staff – can see your chat. Your luggage lives only between you and the person or individuals with whom you are chatting.

At its top, the app comes with many other features to lock your data as tightly as possible. Get all these precautions, and you are as well preserved when you talk about keeping your conversation private.

Prevent others from exporting your chat

If you want to export your chat, it is easy to serve in a plain text file, if requested, complete with the media attached.

    • On Android, tap on three dots (top right) in a chat, then More> Export Chat,
    • On an iPhone, tap on the header at the top of the chat, then Export chat,

The problem is that anyone you are chatting can export to the chat somewhere else, as you can. If you instead of your contacts Did not By exporting your shared conversations, you can disable it for everyone in chat. (This is the facility Only introduced onlySo you can’t see it yet.)

    • Go to the chat information page by tapping the header at the top.
    • choose Advanced chat privacy To turn the block.

Many safety safety of WhatsApp can be undone if someone else should get access to your phone, which is why chat lock facility can be useful. It chooses specific conversations in your own folder, which can only be accessed with an additional password or biometric authentication method.

Lock chat can be found above all your other messages on the main chat list, and these chats will currently require unlock method for your phone (eg face ID, for example).

    • Tap on the header at the top of the conversation.
    • choose Chat lock (Android) or Lock chat (iOS).

Put WhatsApp behind a biometric lock

Along with inserting a personal chat behind an additional layer of security, you can also do it for WhatsApp. If someone should go into your phone somehow, they will not be able to do anything inside WhatsApp without a face or fingerprint scan.

To set biometric security for the lock screen already in your Android or iOS phone, you can also apply to WhatsApp.

    • On Android, from the main chat list, tap on three dots (top right), then Settings> Privacy> App Lock,
    • On iOS, switch on setting Tab, then choose Privacy> App Lock,

You can also set how long whatsApp waits for biometric authentication again.

Make sure the backups are completely encrypted

Your WhatsApp chats are fully encrypted, but your chats are not backup – not by default, anyway. It is very difficult to hack in these backups, if they are encrypted then it is even more difficult. To enable it means that you will need an encryption key or password to relieve you to restore backups.

    • Go to app settings (three dots then setting But Chat Tab in Android, setting Tab on iOS)
    • choose Chat> Chat backupFrom here you can manage your interaction in your Google account or iCloud, and enable encryption End-to-end encrypted backup Option.

    Turn on two-factor authentication

Turning two-factor authentication (2fa) on each account is a very good idea that provides it, most of these days. This means that whenever you log in to a new device in the app, an additional code is required. This code is usually given through an authentic app, but with WhatsApp it is a six -digit pin that you set yourself.

    • Open WhatsApp setting On your phone,
    • On Android, head on the head Chat Tap on tab, three dots (top right), and choose setting,
    • On iOS, switch on setting Tab, then tap Account> two-step verification To set the facility.

You have the option to enter an email address that you can use to reset the pin. If you ever forget it – otherwise WhatsApp waits you seven days before making a new pin.

    Enable the message to disappear

You can turn on missing messages and make sure your chats are erased over time – so even if someone else gets access to your phone, they will not see what you are chatting about, because the conversation would have disappeared.

To do this in any conversation:

    • Tap the header bar at the top, then choose Disappear,
    • Your choice for Sandesh Timer, which all chat participants have seen the message, they are 24 hour, 7 daysOr 90 days,
