- Lenovo Thinkkantre Neo Ultra 2025 squeezes high-end AI hardware in a small, 3.6-liter case

Apple dominates the conversation around Mac Studio Compact High-Performance Desktop, but Lenovo is pushing back with its Thinkkantre Neo Ultra Series.
Originally released in CES 2024, the first Thinkantre Neo Ultra showed the 14th gene intel processor. Exactly six months later, Lenovo refreshed the device with Intel’s core Ultra CPU, and upgraded the GPU in a separate system, Lenovo Yoga portal Mini PC.
Now, Lenovo has so far introduced another update for the Thinkantre Neo Ultra Series – Intel’s High -end Core 9 285 equipped with a new mini workstation equipped with CPU and 16GB RTX 5060 TI GPU rated on 180W.
Portable yet powerful
“Little height, big energy” is how Lenovo describes this year’s model, and tagline fits. Despite its compact 3.6-liter chassis, it offers a total performance of mini PC 825 top and upgrade the new LGA-1851 socket from the desktop-grade LGA-1700.
The power supply has been reduced from 350W to 300W in the previous version, suggesting better power efficiency.
Although this model still avoids unlocked K-series CPUs, it aims to balance between thermal boundaries and computational performances that should appeal to its business-centric audiences.
One of the standout features is advanced graphics. RTX 4060 replacement with 16GB RTX 5060 TI provides adequate boost for users handling AI infection, 3D rendering, or high-resolution video workflows.
Lenovo also indicates a dedicated NPU card, although it is not clear whether it refers to separate hardware or is bound by Intel’s Arrow Lake architecture.
Either way, the system supports locally deployed large language models with 14 billion parameters – an attractive option for organizations looking for AI workloads in the house.
Lenovo says that the system earned CES 2025 Best New Tech for the Home and Workplace Award, adding more credibility to its performance claims.
Base configurations include 32GB RAM and 1TB storage, including pricing 14,999 RMB (about $ 2,056) core Ultra 5 and RTX 5060 for about $ 2,056), or 19,999 RMB (about $ 2,741) for Ultra 7 and Ultra 7 and RTX 5060 TI.
The pricing and availability for the core Ultra 9 and RTX 5060 TI 16 GB variants has not been announced yet, and there is no word on the International Launch Description.
