Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is making headlines on Gosmar-Thin Wings on May 12. Samsung’s hosting is a “unpacked” event-this time is completely virtual-to share details on a super-Thin smartphone that is barely thicker than the USB-C charging port. The virtual event will be held on May 12 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm at PT. You will be able to see livestream Samsung’s website Or its officer YouTube channelDo not expect new versions of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, however – this summer is likely to come in a separate event in this summer.

Samsung first showed the Galaxy S25 Edge in its January Unpacked event. The company excluded the news for the phone as “another talk” for the incident, but it did not offer several details besides highlighting its thin frame. The anticipated April launch date was not out, and Samsung is still not in details about the device. In a release, Samsung stated that the S25 edge is “more than a slim smartphone” which “unlocks a new era of development for the mobile industry.”
What can we expect other than the officials claiming the thinness of the phone? About the camera, perhaps. The company confirmed the 200-megapixel camera in its slim device homes, which may be based on the main sensor found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but we will need to see if it has the same levels as zoom. Images suggest that the phone has two lenses compared to three or five found on Samsung’s other Android phones. Samsung has earlier stated that S25 edge cameras have “pro-grade capabilities”, which means that they will have access to Samsung’s photo editing tool. The phone will also be engineered keeping in mind the AI, in which at least some generative AI editing and the current Galaxy phone will be available.

The Galaxy manufacturer will need to convince us why we want a super-slim phone. Rumors suggest that Apple is ready to launch its own skinny phone, the iPhone 17 air, and can bring back an external battery case for sources described as a more limited battery than regular and pro iphones. Ultimately, Samsung needs to prove that users will not sacrifice too much for a slightly thin, slightly light device.
