For the last two decades, Nintendo has been the best -selling console of DS Nintendo. Big N estimates that it will no longer happen in the next quarter, where it hopes to dethron the nintendo switch to the king in hand.
Ntdoy released it Q4 FY25 Income Report On May 7, 2025. In this, Nintendo offered an forecast to how many original nintendo switch console thinks it would sell in the next financial year. For FY26, Nintendo estimates to sell 4.5 million nintendo switch units. Currently, Nintendo has sold a total of 152.12 million nintendo switch console, so if it manages to hit the figure, the Nintendo switch will hit a 156.62 million units.
Nintendo DS is currently sitting on 154.02 million units sold during his lifetime. If Nintendo estimates 4.5 million, it will be more than 2.6 million from DS. This record-breaking figure may soon be as Q2 FY26, assuming that 4.5 million have spread to quarters.
