At first glance, the Windows 11 photo app may look like a basic photo viewer, but it is packed with the characteristics that go far beyond the essential things. While some are famous, others are overcome, waiting for the discovery.

Change the shape of images
Shaping images is something that you may need to do from time to time, whether it is easy to share them or to adapt them to a website. Fortunately, you do not need to rely on the third-party photo editing app or online tool as the photo app on Windows already provides an image shape.
Once you open an image in the photo app, click Three-dot menu Top-left corner icon and select Change the shape of the imageFrom here, you will have two options: Change the size from the percentage of the original image or set the pixel dimension manually. Just enter your desired width and height, and then click save,

Scan text with images
Another photo app facility that is easy is optical character recognition (OCR) tool. This feature allows you to handle the printed text or even images, screenshots, or scanned documents and convert them into a digital copy.
All you have to do is open the image in the photo app and click Scan text Icon on the bottom. Once the app detects the text in the image, press Ctrl + A To choose it, then CTRL + C To copy it. Alternatively, you can also choose a specific text using your mouse cursor, like you will be on a webpage.
After the text is copied, you can paste it into your documents, emails, notes or any text field. This feature can save you a lot of time when digitizing handwritten notes, drawing quotes from book pages, or mimicking a address from a flyer.

Super resolution
Microsoft has recently introduced some impressive AI-operated equipment in the Windows Photo App, and one of the standout features is super resolution. This device uses artificial intelligence for images up to 8 times their original size.
The super resolution makes it unique that it increases the sharpness and expansion of images without normal drops in quality obtained from traditional apasting methods. To use it, you must enter the editing mode in the first photo app. There, you will see scale The slider that lets you adjust the level of growth. After processing, you should see the side-by-side comparison of both images.
Keep in mind that the super resolution is currently exclusive to Copilot+ PC, as this feature depends on the nerve processing unit (NPU) found in these new systems. If you do not see the feature in your photo app, it means that your hardware is not compatible.

Staining or replacing image background
Earlier, the Windows Photo App had only offered basic editing options such as crops, rotates, filters and markups. However, it is not so now. Now you can use the photo app to blur, remove or replace the image background with only a few clicks.
Once you open a photo in the photo app and enter edit Mode, go to background Tab. The app uses AI to automatically separate the subject from the background. From there, you can choose Gallop, RemovalOr replace the The background, depending on what you want to do.
This feature is incredibly useful when you want to add a picture-style effect or change the background with something completely different.

Fierce eradication
If you do not need to change the entire background, but just want to remove a specific object or person, then Windows 11 is liberally erased in the photo app. Similar to photo cleanup on iOS or magic eraser on Android, it uses AI so that you can easily clean your images.
To use it, open a photo in the photo app, switch to editing mode, and navigate Erase Tab. From there, just brush on the object or person you want to remove. The app will then analyze the surrounding pixels and use AI to fill the area.
Of course, it is not innocent, so you cannot always get the right results, but it works in most cases.

iCloud photos and Onedrive Sink
Windows 11 Photos are not only to watch images and videos stored on your PC-you can also use it to access and manage your cloud-related media. What is great that it is not just limited to its onedrive of microsoft; Photo App also supports the iCloud photos of Apple.
If you use Onedrive, you just need to open the photo app and sign in to your account. To sync iCloud photos, you have to install the iCloud app from Microsoft Store and sign in to your account. Once connected, your cloud photo and video will appear in your own section within the photo app.
While the Windows 11 photo app began as a simple redesign from Windows 10, Microsoft has greatly increased it over time. With these new features, the photo app has developed in a powerful tool and has reduced the requirement of third-party photo editing software on PCs.
