In the Android show ahead of Google I/O on Tuesday, Google announced new security and privacy facilities for Android. These new features include calls, screen sharing, messages, devices access and new security for system-level permissions. With these characteristics, Google aims to protect users from falling for a scam, protect your details in the event of a device stolen or carrying by the attacker, and increase the device-level security for various attacks.
Phone scammers often ask users to tap on unsafe links or take action such as unknown app download. For the safety of users, Google is blocking certain tasks and users warning users of potential scams, while they are not on calls with anyone, which is not in their contact list.

For Android 16, these actions include the first time web browser, messaging app, or side-loading apps from other sources, which are not verified by Google, and one app has to provide accessibility permission in an app to take control of a scammer device. The company is preventing users running Android 6 or subsequently preventing the Google Play Protect, which scans the device for the harmful app while being on a call.
Google is adding screen-sharing protection by reminding users to prevent the screen from sharing the screen after a call is finished.
The company is also testing a new warning screen with select banks in the UK to prevent fraud through screen-sharing. When a partner opens a partner bank app when sharing a screen with a user or later an unknown number on devices running Android 11, the device will show a warning screen with a button to quickly eliminate screen-sharing.

Message conservation
Google is increasing security against scams in messages after launching the feature in March. This feature uses on-device AI to alert users of potential scam based on conversation. The company is now increasing user security by equipment to detect more types of fraud, including crypto, gift cards, toll roads, and other billing fees, financial immunity and technical support.

What is more, the company is adding verification key to the Google contact app, which will help users to certify that the person at the other end is the desired receiver. Users can verify their contacts by scanning the QR code or match numbers displayed on the screen.
Verified keys mean that your interaction with your contact on Google messages is end-to-end encrypted and safe. Google said that if an attacker starts controlling a phone number through a SIM swap attack and gives you a message through a new device, Google contact app will show the status of verification as unacceptable. This feature will be available for Google messages later in this summer which is for users running Android 10 or later.

Stealing measures
Earlier this year, Google rolled out the identity probe safety for Pixel and Samsung devices with Oneui 7. In this feature, users are required to use biometric authentication to replace their device pin or biometrics, disable the theft security or access the important settings to access the passes, when the user does not have one of the reliable places. The company is now providing this facility to other device manufacturers with Android 16.
At the end of this year, the Google factory will add better security to the reset, restrict all types of tasks on the device that are reset without the authority of the previous lock pattern/PIN or Google Account Crearete. This essentially makes it difficult to use a stolen tool.

To prevent someone from locking their device remotely, the company is adding a safety challenge to prevent unauthorized access. With Android 16, the company will also hide a one-time password if the device is not connected to Wi-Fi and has not been unlocked recently.

Additional security
The company is also adding new features to its Google Play Protect Live Detection Program, detecting unsafe apps, which have hidden or changed icons. This feature will be available for users running Google Pixel 6+ in the coming months. The company said that it is now implementing a new set Par-device rules To capture more categories of malicious apps.
Google is adding new measures to increase its advanced safety mode to protect public data with new on-device facilities. The company is also debuting a new found My Hub to keep the track of items, friends and family.
