Tiktok is launching its first image-to-video AI feature, company Announced On Tuesday. The new feature is called “Tiktok AI Alive” and allows users to convert static photos into video within ticket stories.
Tikok says that this feature is only accessible through Ticketk’s story camera and uses AI to create short-form videos with “movement, atmospheric and creative effects”.
For example, if your static picture has a sky, cloud and ocean facility, then the ticketkok can turn the photo into a video where the sky slowly shifts, clouds begin to flow, and you hear the sound of the waves crashing. Or, you can conscious a group selfie that exposes gestures and manifestations.
The launch of the new image-to-video features comes a few years later when Tikkok introduced an in-app text-to-image AI generator. While both Instagram and Snapchat offer text-to-images for the creators, Ticketkok is now taking one step forward by providing its users the ability to make videos from images. It is worth noting that Snapchat has said that it will soon allow creators to generate AI videos from images.

AI Alive stories would be made with an AI-borne label to inform users to inform users. In addition, this material will have C2PA metadata embedded, which is a technical standard that helps others to identify that the video is AI-generated, even if it has been downloaded and shared beyond Tiktok.
“We are always constructed with security, and the same goes to our AI innovations,” Ticketok said in a blog post. “As this technique enables new forms of creative expression, it undergoes many beliefs and safety checks for the safety of our community. To help prevent our policies from creating materials that violate our policies, the moderation technology uploaded photographs and written AI generation reviews AI Alive Video with AI Alive Video, which is shown to the manufacturer.”
Tiktok notes that people can report the video that they think they break the rules of the app and this app conducts a final security check. Once a manufacturer shares an AI alive story.
Manufacturers can create AI Alive videos by opening the story camera and tapping the Blue Plus button on the top of the inbox page or profile page. From there, you can choose a photo from your story album. Then you will see the AI Alive Icon on the toolbar on the right side on the photo edit page.
