Over the years, large tech companies like Amazon and Google have been trying to make virtual tri-ons attractive to encourage consumers to make more online purchases. Startups also tried to solve for inspiration and fit in fashion using AI.
Called a new startup Doji Now entering this place, which is designed to make both fun and social apps to try-on with an app. It does this by creating your avatar and then with different looking service that can inspire you to buy new clothes.
As yet, Quick Receiver Raised Affected By this.
Only after a few days Public launch at the app storeThe company is announcing the seed round of $ 14 million led by Thrive Capital with participation from seven seven six sixes. The company says that funding will be used to improve the AI model of Doji.
The app like Doji exists only thanks to recent progress in AI. The company uses its own dissemination model to create its personal avatar and make clothing effort more realistic.
@doji_com try it on. Try to do dosy. Download the app to secure your spot, or search with inviting a friend. ,
The startup was established last year by Dorian Dargan and Jim Winks – so it was named Doji (Dorian + Jim).
Dargan previously worked on Visionos in Apple and on Meta and on Meta and Okulus Quest. Winques was a researcher at Deepmind and also worked on a generative AI-based consumer product in Google.
The pair was connected on Twitter/X around 2022. After realizing a common interest in the fashion world, they began the search for side projects to work together. Later, when the controversial avatar Creation App Lens was released, Dargan noticed how deep people had a connection with their avatar.
Dargan told Techcrunch, “LNSA was having a style avatar with various subjects.” “We saw the lens and thought, what if we can do this for fashion, but in a photo-ethics way?”
Thrive Capital Partner Miles Grimshow said he was occupied by Doji’s app because he first used it. He notes that the spread models make an opportunity to create “virtual mirror” to try on the fabric.
He said, “Going around the web for hundreds of click links for the shop is laborious. Doji has an opportunity to make shopping fun because it keeps me at the center of experience. The app also has a social aspect of sharing different looks (with friends and family) in the app,” he said.

It likes to use Doji’s app
Doji, which is still in invited-cavalry mode, guides users through the process of uploading two full-body images to take six selfies and make avatars. It takes about 30 minutes to make the app incarnation, then informs you when the avatar is ready. You can choose your favorite brands during onboarding to see more items from them in the app.
Other apps such as Google-supported lock screen app Nazar have tried to create AI-operated shopping inspiration flow using single image. However, Doji opted for a more depth setup process to create a high quality avatar and better match users with the right fabric.
By default, the app shows you clothes that can suit you through a series of looks with your avatar. You can scroll through various tops and bottles listed on the site and tap on them to create a new look for your avatar.
In addition, you can post a link to a dress from the web to check if it will suit you.

In trials, I realized that some images of the avatar found me thin or longer than me. (Doji notes that users have the option to withdraw the avatar through a new set of images if they do not like their results.)
While the app tries to see you on different clothes how some costumes will look on you, it cannot yet tell you how an item will fit. This is something that the startup wants to deal with later, we have been told.
Instead of directing users to users on external sites, the virtual tri-on process is also working to intensify and integrate the process of purchasing in the app.
Startup, whose app is available in more than 80 countries, does not specify when it will remove the invitation system to allow everyone to use the app.
Dargan said that one who separates them from other tried-on apps also provides a fun way to detect dosy fabric. Furthermore, they believe that dosy is better in human representation than others, thanks to his experience of designing incarnations over years.
Dargan said, “I think people who have discovered this idea either are not to make the technique good or taste to understand that a person really feels good about his image.” “We have invested a lot in core technology so that you can ensure that you feel yourself through images that it is interesting and inspiring.”
