The most eye-catching thing about Eksa S30 wireless headset is its open-ear design. For someone in search of a ventilated option for large, padded ear-cover or aggressive earbuds, it can prove to be ideal.

Unlike many of the surrounding best Bluetooth headsets, it leaves one twin-handset-counter-face ears, with a movable mic on the left, excluding an ear rather than a single unit (and all office distractions that come with it) instead of a single unit.

Speaking about, the manufacturer claims that the Open-Eyer Air Conduction unit cuts 99.9% of the environmental noise on the mic, despite hanging on the ear. He said, there is no ANC for audio, which can be good or bad based on your POV.

It is selling retail for $ 150 – although on Amazon, I saw it on sale at a mark of $ 100 / £ 100. But how does it measure? After finding out, I took in the meeting whether EKSA fulfills its promise.

The headset is well packed, in a bright orange box – a color theme that continues in the design, from button to branding. As you expect, packed in a sleeve, the instruction is manual and warranty card. This is a good touch, perhaps overcome, but since Apple began his technical domination, it is all about creating packaging and ‘experience’.

Inside the well -threatened carry case, you will find two headsets, sitting in a removable molded base unit, which charge them when not in use. The headset is placed with hidden magnetics, also prevents movement. The base unit has a single orange button to turn or close the headset.

A USB cable is neatly slot in the front space. For my money, this case provides all the safety required for you. It is light, but feels durable – I have put a lot of weight over it, and the structure is still held out, making it ideal for movement, or leaving around in a frenzy office.

The headsets themselves are light, a plastic is attached to a flexible rubber ears hook, which can be adjusted to the fit. What is worth it, I did not mean that they are very tight or very loose during their use, so it should be done right.

The speaker of each headset has textured control buttons at the bottom of the section – again, bright orange, so you cannot miss them. Positioning is good, but I found that it was a bit hard to operate them, with hard plastic I never found the response that I was turning on or turning off. I had to rely on the small light to check whether the headset was ready for the meeting.

These lights will also serve the battery level, when they require recharge, red glows. A light on the Carrie case performs the same function, which shows green, orange or red, it depends on how much the battery charge remains.

The left earpiece also contains a microphone that rotates easily. At the end of it, guess a button (which color) for muting, but happily, it provides a better touch experience, when sad but depressed with certain clicks.

Here one of the biggest misunderstandings is not allowed to access USB-C charging port from outside the case. This means that when the battery essentially dies, you have to take the base unit out to charge it. A solution found on the case for the Xbox Elite Controller, with a rubber cap that can be raised to allow charger access, will just keep everything cleaner and more compact.

Okay, so this is the design-but how do they work in a real-world setting? First of all, I was eager to find out how the open-air air conduction felt and felt. As a man who practically lives in his over-ear anchor Q20 headphone, I wanted to know if this headset would provide more breathable experience, especially in hot weather.

And I was pleasant. Drapped on my lobes, Eksa S30 felt comfortable – so light, in fact, that I almost forgot that I was wearing them. Before I knew what happened, I once heard long podcast without feeding with them or without transferring their situation. If you are using them only for meetings (even full day meetings), then you will not have any problem on them.

However, this headset does not complete meetings on your desktop or laptop. As a Bluetooth device, it will connect to your phone, help you to call, play or prevent music and youtube videos, adjust volume or activate your phone’s AI assistant. Also worked well.

Even more importantly, everything looked good, at the right time and bass (as expected for a device that bills the tubebass technique as a sales point). Voices seemed natural and real, none of which are tinishes that you sometimes get from the headset.

During the calls and meetings I could listen to others completely, and on the call those people said that my Mike gave clear audio. When I recorded myself to listen to the playback, I experienced the same.

According to EKSA, the AI-operated microphone of the headset delivers 99.9% to the environmental noise (ENC) technology. Such a figure is red rip for a bull for a reviewer, so I conducted a temporary test by playing Techradar’s YouTube video on different versions during the call. Once I went about half a meter away from the source and started speaking, no one could hear the background nonsense.

Where users may have some difficulty in switching from headphones to headsets, there is a lack of noise on the audio. But then, I think it is part of the appeal for the S30’s open-ear design, which prevents the separation that comes from blocking everything completely, but what is being pumped in your ears, and usually you know about your surroundings.

    EKSA S30: Final decision

Light, comfortable, breathing open-ear design, good audio. For me, the Eksa S30 headset ticks all major boxes for those who want a unit for full day meetings.

The price may be slightly higher than some headsets, but you get a reasonable amount in the box, in which the case of molded charging for safety during the journey and some decent techniques inside the twin headset, with excellent audio clarity in speakers and microphones, with excellent audio clarity.

Lack of ANC may close some users. However, I had no problem using it in a relatively quiet workpiece-and with AI-managed NC on Mike, other people in your meeting will not hear the nonsense of all backgrounds, even if you can.

    Should I buy Eksa S30?

    Buy it if …

You want an open-ear headset: I really like that the design of this headset does not close you in the way a pair of compartments makes you a pair, without compromising on the audio.

You want a headset to use all day: I found S30 so light and comfortable, I practically forgot that I was wearing it. Fit is the snag without being tight, and ideal if you are on call all day.

Do not buy it if …

You need anc: While the microphone blocks the noise of the background, no active noise is canceled to the speakers. This can be an issue if you especially work in the noise office.

You like on-ear headphones: It speaks for yourself, in fact – if you instead of traditional headphones, this model will not appeal. However, even as a headphone crazy, I found a lot to like and recommend here.
