Sun exposes a 600,000 mile filament in a fiery explosion

A surprising solar explosion occupied the video on the night of 12–13 May has destroyed 600,000 miles of filament away from the Sun’s northern hemisphere. The outbreak occurred at around 8 pm (0000 GMT) and covered more than twice a distance between Earth and Moon. A massive solar filament suspended above the sun surface became unstable and burst, exploding a CME into space with a cloud of plasma and magnetic energy. The initial models show that the Earth is nowhere in the firing range of this fierce rejection, but researchers are still closely looking at the event.

According to space.com ReportThe explosion originated from a filament structure, made of dense, cooler solar plasma that is powered by magnetic fields. These structures often appear as dark ribbons in the sun’s disc and can be unstable without warnings. Solar observers mentioned that this latest explosion dwarfed similar recent events, both in scale and intensity. Arora Chaser Zur Atanakov commented that CME The explosion was seen the most spectacular this year, although fortunately, it is northward and will miss the earth.

The “Angel-Wing” or “Bird-Wing” explosion was widely shared by online observers, widely shared among the watchers.
