Computex 2025 is now running with companies and manufacturers set to perform the upcoming desktop and portable PC hardware – and MSI has set tone for the remaining largest technical program.
Following several rumors about a potential new AMD-operated handheld, MSI has officially announced a new announcement Msi claw a8 bz2em Handheld Gaming PC. As anticipated, it will use the latest Ryzen Z2 extreme APU of AMD, as the core Ultra of Intel used in MSI claws 8 AI+moves away from 258V.
This is certainly a great surprise despite the previous leaks, and there are some important takeaways to create – from its new design to its possible performance capabilities. Here is everything that you should look ahead with Paw A8 Handheld Gaming PC.
1. It will be powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU
While the latest handheld processor of AMD, Ryzen Z2 Extreme is included in the prototype version of Lenovo Legion Go 2 (and is believed to have been included in the prototype version of the rumor Xbox Handheld), the new MSI Claw A8 will be involved in doing so – and may also be launched ahead.
However, the highlight is expected to have the most powerful handheld Z2 chip of team raid in Ryzen Z2 Extreme, and an upgrade from the original Ryzen Z1 extreme (used in Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go). It has 8 CPU core and 16 GPU core, which is a major jump from the previous 12 GPU core on Z1 extreme.
We have not officially seen any handheld gaming PC using Ryzen Z2 Extreme, in addition to the legends Go Prototype – and its specifications show that it will compete against Intel’s Core Ultra 7258 V used in MSI Claw 8AI, so it will be thrilling to see which will be thrown to see which will be thrown to see which will be thrown to see which 8A+ and cloth 8) Is.
2. Claw A8 can be a little cheaper option for new claws 8 AI+ polar template version
Since prices have not been announced yet, there is no clarity at the price of the new MSI Claw A8. However, this new paw 8 AI+ may be a slightly cheaper option for the polar template version; It is using Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3 instead of Intel’s Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 (which is not an Intel chip here).
This claw will also be up to 24GB LPDDR5 RAM support instead of 8 AI+32GB RAM, which means that there may be two separate configurations of claw A8 to choose from.
During Computex 2025 we should have more clarity on pricing, but the price difference may arise from the performance vs. Core Ultra 258V of Ryzen Z2 Extreme.
3. It has a new design and a new green color scheme for hand comfort
As you can see in images, it seems that MSI Claw A8 will have a different design facility to provide more hand comfort. The handles appear inside the inner side, which looks similar to Elly Rose Ellie, and it can go a long way to provide additional comfort for those longer gaming.
I am happy to see that MSI has placed an 8-inch FHD+ (1920 x 1200) display with Paw A8, as there is an ideal amount of screen space to get the best from portable gaming. It will also be interesting to see how the Ryzen Z2 Extreme Processor deal with the resolution, and see how it pays rent against the processor of its counterpart.
So far, it seems that we will have the same snow-white color scheme from the polar temperature claw 8 AI+ on the pole A8, as well as with a completely new green to choose. There is no confirmation on the current release date, price or availability, but you can expect to see further details during Computex 2025.
