In the AI-operated economy, data security is not just a box-checking practice. Instead, safety is catalyst for trust and innovation within your organization and with your customers.

This is the conclusion status of Reports of salesfors, which surveyed over 4,000 IT decisions worldwide, included more than 2,000 professionals specialized in safety, privacy, or compliance. The survey aims to understand rapidly developing cyber threats and safety preferences, suggesting how to build a customer trust in the AI-run world and use AI to improve security currencies. Here are the major takeaets from the report:

    1. Security budget on growth: Three-fourths of organizations estimate the budget that data increases to address everything to detect more advanced threat than toxicity.
    2. Trust is paramount: Around two-thirds (64%) customers feel that companies are becoming careless with their data, and 61% believe that AI progresses more important for companies to protect their data than ever, which explore the importance of organizations that prefer data stevidship.
    3. Compliance is complex: More than two-thirds (68%) of security leaders say that compliance has become more difficult because the regulator environment changes rapidly, and 43% feels less for potential AI-related rules.
    4. AI can strengthen rescue: While 79% of security leaders believe that AI agents will introduce new security and compliance challenges, 80% suggests that AI agents will introduce new security opportunities.

    IT security budgets are increasing

According to the IT survey status, the top five are the most cloud security, data poisoning, malware, phishing and ransomware related to security threats. The top five most effective safety strategy are data encryption, data backup and restoration, identification and access management, zero-trust strategies and data masking.

The survey found that 75% of IT organizations expect to increase their IT security budget, expecting a decrease in only 2% budget. Managing compliance is also more difficult, 68% of security leaders said that compliance is more difficult between developing rules. About half (43%) of security leaders does not feel ready for potential regulatory changes around AI.

    AI creates opportunity and danger

The use of AI agents in business is growing quickly. AI agents can take autonomy and work as digital labor. However, security leaders admit that, without proper governance, AI agents can introduce new security and compliance challenges. Therefore, it is no surprise that Cio rank safety and compliance as their top AI anxiety and top criteria when choosing AI vendors.

Security leaders also offer powerful benefits and new opportunities for safety and compliance to AI agents. More than three-fourths of security leaders (79%) believe that AI agents introduce new security challenges. The survey found that 80% of security leaders believe that AI agents introduce new security opportunities. The AI agents with properly programmed skills can support the danger, automated vulnerability management and support the scale on scale.

IT leaders look at the following dangers from AI: data violations, privacy anxiety, data poisoning, AI-powered threats, model supply chain attacks, adverse attacks and bias and discrimination. The report also stated that most security leaders believe that AI-operated cyber threats may soon pursue traditional rescue, outline new strategies and constant vigilance.

    • Model bias identification: Ensuring continuous AI model auditing, fairness and reliability for prejudices and weaknesses
    • Compliance automation: Tracking policy in the system, reducing manual oversight

A powerful feeling from the IT report is that 100% security leaders believe that AI agents can improve at least one security concern. By removing agents repeating or unloading high-volume tasks, teams can focus their attention to high-level strategy-when a necessary shift intensifies the danger, it can move faster than most security teams.

    AI agent compliance and governance

Organizations have place to improve this area. The survey found that 55% of the security leaders do not feel completely confident that they can deploy AI agents with the right railing, and 53% are not completely convinced that they can deploy AI agents that follow regulations and standards.

Another major fundamental element for the installation of the trust is clarity. Using AI, 70% of security leaders feel that AI accuracy and clarification is a concern, and less than half is completely confident that they can explain the AI output.

Construction of customer trust in agents

The survey suggested that confidence with customers was eradicating. About three-fourths (71%) customers say their trust in companies is decreasing, growing by 52% in 2023 and 47% in 2022. Customers say that as organizations create security for AI products, AIs are transparent about use, AI improves the accuracy of the output, and customers take feedback, their trust in AI will increase.

The IT leaders see the trust as the need for customers to be the major adoption. The survey found that 64% of security leaders believe that customers hesitate to adopt AI services due to security or privacy concerns.

Also: Tech Leaders are running to deploy agent AI – why is it here

An important discovery of the report was the gap between industry standards and their ability to convince AI-made results for privacy. While more than 90% of security leaders feel that their organizations are equal to or above the standards of the industry, when it comes to their cultures around privacy policies and safety, transparency and trust, they feel less than half that their organizations are excellent in providing AI output, accurate AI output and transparency of how their data is being used in the AI system.

Research concluded with the following forecast on major trends and ideas:

    • Running regulator complexity: Compliance management will be a continuous process as AI rules emerge in different fields
    • Active AI adoption: Companies who embrace AI agents as a security partner will discover new abilities and opportunities for discrimination.
