The phone cameras have become ridiculous, yet a lot of pictures still look as if they are shot through a smooth thumbprint. One step that most people leave a picture before snatching, and it makes all differences between “meh” and “wow”.
Invisible enemies: Greece
Real cameras come with lens cap and protective cover. You stop them in a padded bag, and they cover until you are ready to shoot. The smartphone, by the contrary, our Swiss Army is the knife: we call, doom-scroll Instagram on closing cheese, then stove them in pockets and backpacks with coins, keys and lints. We do everything with them, except keep the camera lens free from gun.

Last guide to clean your smartphone
Do you feel a little bad to wear your smartphone? This is a time to give a proper clean.
The real criminal here is not dirt in the traditional sense, such as dust or mud (although it is also terrible) – it is Greece. Even after washing, your hands naturally produce oil. Touch the lens of your phone, even by mistake, and you will leave a thin, stubborn film of Greece behind. Glass loves fat very much, and once it is there, it sticks around.
Check your phone lens now under sunlight or flashlight lights. This may appear clean in the beginning, but believe in me, you will be afraid of the smooth truth. You will be surprised how to get any light. Once cleaned, the difference (almost) is truly night and day.
What is bad about a dirty lens?
The light travels in straight lines, until it kills a smooth lens. Instead of focusing on the sensor cleaning, rays scattered in random directions, form a blurred halo around or wash the detailed details.
Sometimes, an artist can deliberately dirty his lens to create a dreamy, glowing effect in photographs. But most of us are not aiming for avant-garde smokes, and we simply end with inferior pictures.
Take my friend’s photo down. She wanted to capture a stunning painted glass window, behind which was dramatically sunlight streaming. Instead, his picture was blurred, surrounded by a distracted glow. The smear around the window was not an artistic option; It was Greece on her lens.

It is almost impossible to cure such a mild spots in editing. For my friend’s picture, the only option was growing in contrast and was to adjust the exposure to distract from smashed. As you see above, Smaj still exists too much in edited photos.

For the purposes of performance, I deliberately rubbed my lens on my face and fingers, strictly stained (a painful experience for someone that appreciates a clean lens). The resulting picture of my living room looked terrible. But after cleaning the lens, the difference was amazing. The room was clear, color vivid, description sharp.
It was not an award winning shot; Just a random snap to paint the point. If you are all the dirty-lens photography that you have ever known, you will never miss that you have never seen. But before you get into smooth quality habit or complain that you need a new phone with a better camera …
… clean your lens (please)
Clean your camera lens, especially indoors or at night, before pouring your next photo or recording videos. No, wiping it with your shirt will not always cut it. Ideally, use a microfiber fabric (no spray or detergent required). With regular care, a quick shirt-wip may be sufficient for a quick cleaning. But if you allow it to accumulate, you will need to clean the extra time completely.
Front-festing selfie cameras are particularly susceptible, as they constantly touch your hair, face and ears during calls.
Today’s phones increase the issue of dirty-lenses. The camera lenses have grown, spread prominently, and usually when you set your phone down are the first thing to touch the surfaces. This makes them even more prone to deposit the grime.
When you are getting out of the intention of capturing great shots, especially for indoor low-light photography, take a moment for preparation. Slip a small microfiber cloth in your pocket or bag; It almost does not take place and is the cost next to nothing, but it is the best tool against lubricating fingerprint and cheek oil.
There is no need for fancy spray or special cleaner: this soft cloth will easily soak your lens to some soft, circular wipes. Be sufficient to remove smudges, but lighten enough that you will not risk scratching the glass.
If you want to go extra miles, think of investing in a case with a raised bezel around the camera module, or slap on a clear lens protector film. However, the bezel raised around my phone case (and many others) does much less to protect it from the grime.
I see it all the time: people at concerts or parties, record their memories through a blurred mist, just because their lenses are dirty. Do not be a person. The simplest, dumbbest fix for evil photos is really on your fingers.
