Xiaomi Yu7 was unveiled on Thursday as the latest electric vehicle (EV) from a China -based company. It comes as an SUV challenger for the Tesla model Y in China and is included in the growing fleet of Xiaomi’s electric cars, now Xiaomi SU7 sedan and its high-performance version, SU7 Ultra. Xiaomi Yu7 indicates the designed SU7 sedan, including a very similar front fascia. Powering EV is the owner Xiaomi Super Motor V6S Plus 690 PS with a maximum horsepower that leads it to 253 kmph (KMPH), claiming top speed. EV uses advanced CTB integrated battery technology that is advertised to give a maximum range of maximum 835 km (CLTC).

Xiaomi has not announced the pricing of its YU7 EV, but Sale will begin In July in China. It will be available in three variants, standard, Pro and Max, which has various performance figures and maximum range. Buyers can choose from three external color options of electric SUVs – Emerald Green, Titanium Silver and Lava Orange. Three internal color options are also available. These include a light tone, coral orange and pine gray in Twilight Blue.

The Cabin Shape of Xiaomi Yu7 has a high-performance of the Ferrari Purusangue-Italian Automaker, similar to the four-door SUV. The EV adopts the “waterdrop headlights” of the Xiaomi SU7 and replaces it with a hollow-out design, leading to 180 degrees ultra-wide-angle lighting. Meanwhile, the hallo tail light has a bottom-angle corners and an electric-flush door handle system on the YU7 in Xiaomi, which ensures that the handle is obtained when the vehicle is in speed to reduce the aerodynamic drag.

The construction of Xiaomi SU7 on multi-duct architecture, YU7 design is included for managing air channels and 19 customized vents through 10. The company claims that its electric SUV is characterized by a unibody manufacturing, the CD acquires a drag coefficient of 0.245 that translates into a 59 km improvement in the CLTC range on its pre-eligible efficiency figures.
The EV has a curb weight of 4,999 x 1,996 x 1,600 mm in terms of dimensions, 2,405 kg and 3,000 mm squeeze. Xiaomi Yu7 claims that more than 50 passive safety development tests and all crash standards have been successfully passed under C-NCAP and C-ISI protocols.

Xiaomi says that it has adopted the “double zone surround luxury cabin” philosophy for the inner parts of Yu7. The EV high-contact areas with 100 percent soft-touch surfaces and Nappa’s leather consists of upholstered seats.
It has one-touch reclining and 10-point massage function for both the driver and the passenger with dual zero-gurutvakarshan front seats. There are 135-degrees recliners adjustable in the rear seats. Xiaomi SU7’s cabin space claims to cross the contestants with a 100 mm front headroom, 77 mm rear headroom and 73 mm rear legroom.

With Xiaomi Yu7, the Chinese-based company introduced two new features-Xiaomi hypervision panoramic display and a remote control panel. The east appoints a triple mini LED screen array, which uses panoramic winding launch technology to give extensive information on the low windshield area. This displays dynamic turn-by-turn navigation in the viewing area, while the Simlet Reality Road Mapping feature provides more information about real-time traffic conditions when the driver support system is installed. It provides adaptable instrument readouts, media control, time zone, weather updates and navigation. The hypervision panoramic display is supplemented by a remote control panel for quick access to EV’s control, navigation and entertainment functions, says Xiaomi.
The vehicle is equipped with 4Nm Snapdragon 8 General 3 chipset that powers the cockpit and strengthens tasks such as boot up, app launch and touch reaction. It is supplemented for driving a Nvidia Drive Agx Thor in-Vehicle Computing Platform, providing 700 tops of computational power. According to Xiaomi, it also has Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture that brings support for on-device large models to improve the aided driving experience. Xiaomi Yu7 is equipped with the entirety lidar, with seven ultra-transparent anti-glare cameras and a 4D millimeter-wave radar.
The Xiaomi Yu7 provides a total of 1,970 liters of storage capacity, including the 141 liter front trunk (universally known as a frock) and 678 liters of main cargo region that can expand up to 1,758 liters with the rear seats.

In terms of numbers, the double-motor four-wheel drive version of Xiaomi Yu7 has a maximum horsepower of 690 PS, 508 kW peak power, 0–100 acceleration time of 3.23 seconds and top speed of 253 kmph. It is powered by Xiaomi Hyperengine V6s Plus Electric Motors. The company has also upgraded the power module and customized topology optimization algorithm to improve RPM, torque and power data.

The entry-level standard variant of Xiaomi Yu7 offers 835 km range (CLTC) with its 96.3kwh battery pack. Meanwhile, Pro (96.3kwh battery) and Max (101.7kwh battery) models offer 760 km and 770 km CLTC range. It is equipped with a peak voltage of 897V from the 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, which helps EV to get a maximum charging rate of 5.2C. Courtesy, Xiaomi Yu7 can charge 10 percent to 80 percent in just 12 minutes, and can distribute 620 km range after just 15 minutes of charging.
The EV appoints a quadruple braking security mechanism with four-fisties fixed calirs of Brembbo. This front double wisbone and rear five-link independent suspension, constant dumper control with close double-chamber air spring, and Xiaomi Smart Chassis. The suspension features discontinued double-laid air springs that supports the maximum up and down adjustment range of 75 mm and five height adjustment levels with a maximum ground clearance of 222 mm.
Once available for purchase in July, Xiaomi Yu7 is estimated to be taken to the choice of Tesla Model X and The Beed Ceylian 07 in China’s highly competitive EV market.
