While we like to cover the weekly updates of the latest and greatest games within each style on itch.io, I thought I can shake the speed a little by exposing some of my favorite games on the stage right now.
Crow country
One of my favorite game styles is scary, especially the sub-style of the survival horror. Crow Country is a stylishly retro title that occurs in 1990, and for me, is an excellent tribute to Silent Hill. Motivated music and sound design reminds what makes Silent Hill one Best Horror franchise of all time.
Edward Crowe disappeared two years ago, causing the Crow Country Theme Park to suddenly stop. You play as Mara Forest, who takes himself to visit the abandoned park to find the answer behind the mysterious disappearance.
Like other survival horror games, you have to work and pile of riddles and through riddles to solve. Crow Country was once a rich and exciting place, but now it is filled with disturbing demons and terrible silence.
Raising the item, finding a clue, and searching for a park helps you check your exams because you eventually happened to Edward Crowe.
For love and eternity
This game first caught my eye due to its absolutely amazing scenes and atmosphere. A demo is currently available to play, which covers the first main part of the game. The developer is planning to release ten parts in total, and is still in development.
On waking up, you find out that you and your lover have been murdered. Your soul now wanders on zero, and so it is your dear. Two souls deviate from zero, you go on a trip to find your betrayal. If you fail to do so, the true terror waits.
I do not want to say anymore because I think this is a game you should experience yourself. But I would say that even walking and searching for love and eternity is a real treatment.
Fructal sailor
The atmospheric horror is something that I think is missing in many modern horror games. The jump scares, psychological horror which embedded fear in your brain, is one of the most effective ways to create a stand-out title.
In the fructal sailor, you raise a hovercraft ship by yourself. Fracture rock, traveling through an environment filled with strange shapes, and a completely dark bar from your ship brings a feeling about the fructal sailor that you cannot escape.
Why are you in the first place here? Well, it is your job to re -activate the stations that have been left since. Despite their importance in gathering resources, there is no soul around.
The silence and darkness of the forefathers surrounds you, that is, you do not come as long as you are under the sea water.
