Nearly a decade later, the Cliftop Games launched its gritty, twin peak -inspired detective game Kathy Rain, back to the punk detective one, Kathy Rain 2: In a deep case in Sothsare. It is a classic point-end-click adventure game, but more spy game is also more in realism than the choice of Phoenix Wright. If you want to learn something in Kathy Rain 2, then you have to ask or travele the correct question through old newspapers to do it, and this is a good thing. The less good is how everything else looks like. Kathy Rain 2 wants to be like a good ol ‘Noor thriller of yastaror, but it just does not pay its characters, or even conspires to pay enough attention to pull it.

Kathy Rain 2 follows private private investigator many years after its first major case. His business is failing, but a fierce opportunity arises. A serial killer known as The Sothser, working in Cassidi, is in the fictional city of Kathy Rain 2, and a heavy prize is also offering to anyone who can help bring them into justice. Kathy works in the hope of saving life – and herself – by collecting evidence, interrogating the witnesses, and she interrogates what she gets. One of the best points of Kathy Rain 2 is that Kathy himself does not have a plot armor. Things are not always well for her, and even success on a case does not promise the future she wants.
This is a unique way to handle a video game hero, but the clift does not adequately follow that promise. The shallow character development is easy to ignore at the moment, as Kathy Rain 2 manages to create and maintain a sense of stress that focuses on what is happening. However, amidst major events, the gaps begin to stand out more. Kathy means to play a major role, but his thoughts and feelings are so low attention that it is difficult to feel that the game clearly wants you in important moments. Kathy goes to meet her disorganized mother, has a relationship issues, suffer from tragic losses, and at the end of this, you still have very little thought of who this person is or how these things affect or change her.
Troubled, Stoic detective is a major of nair mysteries and the thriller Kathy Rain 2 seems to attract for inspiration, but the cliftop recalls some important points from classics. The rest is integrated naturally and elegant in the story, however – to discip some numerical code to send secret pages messages, detecting relationships between events and people, scoring newspapers for clues. Steering games are hardly a rare, but some Kathy makes a impression of being a proper explorer like Rain 2.
All this helps with the exactly spectacular view direction. The pixel art of Kathy Rain 2 is just gorgeous, with some inspired use of color and light that more to explain what kind of place is the place that is actually compared to anything happening in the city. The grunge of Kathy’s office, a nightclub has a deep shade that obscure everyone who is not in the dazzle of the spotlight, the comfortable heat of a caravan that is so firmly opposite with squallor that it has a lot of emotion and meaning in the design of Kathy Rain 2.
Kathy Rain 2 is not bad. Its puzzle design is excellent, and the artists from the cliftop created one of the best looking pixel games all around. It does not just last its full capacity and plays in itself as a quick tribute to classic styles compared to a well -thoughtful secret thriller.
