Scientists captured plasma streams, coronal raindrops in the fastest view of the sun’s corona

Scientists believe that such observations can illuminate the mechanism behind coronal mass ejections and solar flarers, the major drivers of the space season. Researchers noted that the surface of the sun appears soft and “alcoholic” due to short -term plasma jets, called spicules, whose origin is mysterious.

The team’s findings were published in the journal Nature on Tuesday, May 27.
