Microsoft Quick is testing a dedicated page in Windows settings for machine recovery, which will provide additional configuration options to users.
This new settings can be found under the page system> recovery, and it will help togue the feature and it will choose how often the device looks for solution and restart.
“This update makes it easier for you to manage recovery options directly from settings, streamlining access to important features that help your device run smoothly,” Said Microsoft’s Amanda Langowski and Brandon Labc on Monday.
“With the new Settings page, you can easily check what the feature is capable, configure to find it for automatically available Remediation, set how many times they are, and when your device should restart to apply any necessary improvement, select.”
These new changes are rolling for beta channel for Windows Insider on Windows 11 24H2, which has set up Windows 11 Insider preview buildings 26120.4230 (KB5058506).
On Monday, the company announced that it would also recover a quick machine. Dev is available for interiors in the channelAt the end of this week, they can check if it works on their system without triggering the system failure using the Test Remediation payload given after enabling “Test mode”.

Quick machine recovery (QMR) was introduced as part of Microsoft in November Windows Regulation Initiative In IGNITE 2024, in response to July 2024, a small car occurred due to a crowdstruk Falcon update, which uncontrolled hundreds of Windows devices worldwide.
Remond began testing quick machine recovery at the end of March when it began rolling for Windows Insiders in beta channel.
QMR enables IT administrators to fix Windows boot issues using the Windows update “targeted fix” without the need for physical access to the affected system.
When capable, it will boot in the Windows recovery environment and launch a quick machine recovery tool if Windows 11 fails to start due to a new driver or configuration change.
QMR then connects to the Internet and sends crash data to Microsoft, which can cure problems from distance by removing problematic drivers or updates and adjusting the settings.
According to Microsoft, QMR will eventually be enabled by default in Windows 11 home, while enterprise customers will be able to customize how it works in Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise using Intune Settings Catalog UI.
