After years of begging emotional fans, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker made it in Switch 2.

Okay, this is not the HD version we were probably expecting, but if you are particularly fond of gamecube origin, you can now play it through Nintendo Switch online + expansion pack. It is also better with the new wireless gamecube controller, but it has a little gameplay quirk that may look a bit strange if you don’t use it.

Essentially, the camera default is upside down on X-Xis. So C-stick (or pulling the right analog stick, if you are not on the GC controller) then moves the camera to the right, and moves the right trick up. This is strange, and although there are certainly some members of the NL crew who enjoy inverting Y-Axis on FPS games (this is the author involved!), An inverted X-Xis may feel a bit strange.

However, you can ‘fix’ it. To do this, just follow the steps below:

    – When the wind waker plays, press ‘Zl’ to bring a quick menu.
    – Select the ‘Visual/Control Control’ option.
    – Choose ‘Control Control’.
    – For ‘move camera’ options (both ‘left’ and ‘right), you can simply swap their functionality. See the image below how it should look (changed options are in red).

and that’s it! Now, the left or right walk on the C-stick will transfer the camera in this direction.

Now, the only thing to keep in mind is that change applies All Gameplay mechanics that use C-sticks. Mainly, we are talking about the wind waker ourselves. When creating tunes with the wind wet, whenever it asks you to keep the left or right down, you have to do the opposite.

So, you have got an option. You can reverse the input to ‘heal’ inverted cameras, but in doing so, you will potentially make the wind waker mechanic a little difficult for yourself. Or, you can just leave it.

Have you tried this small trick on Wind Weaker for Switch 2? Tell us how you get with a comment below.
