Apple’s user interfaces are going to facilitate more transparency than ever – literally. The company’s new design language- which was announced in WWDC 2025 today and will be included on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch and other apple devices – called “liquid glass”. Design user incorporates transparency in almost every aspect of experience, which is going to be either very calm or very annoying based on your beauty preferences and eyesight.

This new design language feels less like an overhaul and contains Apple like construction on recent UI trends. I have seen that in the last few years, glassy, transparent effects appear in more and more places. If the main presentation in WWDC is anything, then this transparency is going to be even more prominent.

Screenshots shown during the presentation show that everything is leaked from the pop-up menu to the Safari.

Glass, apparently, will be one of the three UI options with traditional light and dark mode, although I am not sure what those options look relative to each other. And further adaptation options. Changes in iOS allow users to adapt the color scheme for icons and widgets on their operating systems, built on tints added to iOS last year. This change makes the home screen feel less disorganized in the shown screenshot, while potentially reduces the number of taping the icon of the impulse.

What do you think so far?

This is a great deal of adaptation. People who like transparency are going to be happy; Those who do not like it have the option to try these other mode.

All this is made possible by the rapidly powerful processor of Apple, which can easily present such effects. I suspect that with an old Apple device, anyone is going to notice things that slow down. It is expected that the option to completely stop transparency will survive in accessibility settings – they need it more than ever with poor vision.
