Sony President and CEO Hideki Nisino shared his belief that ‘the PS5-level performance needs to gain a great experience on the big screen’.
When it comes to Nintendo Switch 2, it will be interesting to see the overall gaming fandum and its impact on its collective attention. Playstation is clearly not very concerned about the stealing of its customers to Nintendo. Recently in a business segment firecide chat, when asked about the concerns of the investor that Nintendo Switch 2 could steal the playstation business, Sony President and CEO Hidki Nisino said that he believes that he believes that Playstation 5 Living Room will be a premiere experience on big screen TVs.
President Nisino shared comments on Sony’s 2025 commercial presentation and firecide chat later this week. It was there that he shared why he does not think there is a threat to the switch 2 playstation business:

A topic that Nishino claimed that Soni feels that it is a step for the development of the game rather than signing special deals:
It is worth noting that Nintendo Switch 2 is another factor that is pushing the developers towards the multiplateform game release. Console sold 3.5 million units at the end of only one week, making it one of the fastest selling console ever. Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 is coming to ports like 6 and their PS5 and PC counterparts prove to prove every bit viable that Switch 2 speaks for that opportunity for a lot of games to reach the new audience.
Does the strength of PlayStation 5 actually unfit for the success of Switch 2, which should be seen in the next months and years, but it seems that Soni is not worried about the situation at this time. Stay on the subject of playstation for more news and updates.
