I have tested some premium, ultra-fast monitor with OLED panels that have been leaving jaws over the years, and once you have seen them upside down in all your glory, it is difficult to do anything less than the best gaming monitor.
Therefore, when Acer Nitro KG272E landed in our test laboratories, I did not expect much. A quick run of its glasses will give you a good idea that what I mean: an FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS panel 100 Hz refresh rate, 1MS reaction time and a 100,000,000: 1 with 1 dynamic contrast ratio.
It all really doesn’t tell me that “I just need this monitor at my desk,” not when a ridiculous LG Ultragier 45GX950A-B 5K2K OLED is a curved gaming monitor or a MSI MSI MSI MPG 272urx QD-OLED 240HZ refresh rate and 0.03ms response on time.
Impressive? Yes, but both of them are more than a mark of $ 1,000 / £ 1,000. This is a lot of change for premium-quality scenes, but depending on your PC setup, nothing can take full advantage of what these monitors can distribute.
Nevertheless, it is hardly surprising that no one will shine instead of examining these animals on the offering of Acer. I was included, but until I took a glimpse in the price tag of Nitro KG272 E.
Just $ 159, and even more impressive £ 129, (up to £ 109 as writing!), It is one of the cheapest gaming monitors out there. It provides at this price, and after using it as my primary monitor for a week, I can confidently say that it is now my favorite budget performance for both work and playing.
Still more tested is to be tested, but I have placed it through its pace during the show and game playing during everyday tasks. So far, it does everything that I can consider at its price – and it says much that you do not need to spend luck to get enough performance on gaming monitors in this way.
Budget in its best form

So, let’s remove it from the first way. We have received numbers from the Test lab, and as I expected, this color is far behind its premium contestants in terms of accuracy and brightness. I mean, is it surprising that it is considering Sports Sports? barely. But I argue that for its low price, its results are very managed.

When it is placed together (it is very simple) and set it with 4K video just to see what it looks like, however, was a small sign of surprise on my face and said to my fellow examiner Nikita Achanta, “Hey, it’s not very bad.” And I got with the agreement.
And so, I drove it out of the house and started using it as my main monitor. For work, I use my 13-inch MacBook Air M3, and while its performance provides great expansion for the work and bipo-dawn show, it is always good to do 27-inch monitor as a secondary performance. Better yet, it acted like an attraction.
Nitro KG272 A does not have many adaptable settings, nor a display mode for Mac, but it collides with Max (it only measures 196.2 knots of SDR gloss, but more later) and its “normal” color mode will allow it to be allowed to be easily reflected which I hope to see it on my MacBook’s performance. Which includes fine details, smoothness and fine color accuracy.
The 27 -inch monitor is quite large for a desk, and given that its weight is only 11.9 pounds with a stand (compared to 24 pounds of MSI MPG 272urx), it is sufficient to shift around to get the right angle. At this price I do not expect anything from a monitor, and nothing, the angle of the display can also be adjusted. This is only a simple feature, but it moves the monitor to make your choice more accessible.
Anyway, it is not just some Google Docs and Google Sheets, which helped me, because I also thrown to see some shows to see if it could do some decent scenes out. There is nothing here, but I was surprised by decency with the image quality presented.

In anticipation of “28 years later”, I decided to throw “28 weeks” on Netflix. This is a 1080p display, so the details were not completely vivid, but I was still on the edge of my seat because Don (Robert Carlile) ran away from the house, in which the anger used to come down with the people coming on the hill. Vicious, bloodshot’s eyes were at the point, and I did not think I was remembering any fine details given the thrilling intro sequence.
After that, I finally used Nitro KG272 E, for which it intends: Gaming. More especially, the first-person shooter such as the final and doom: The Dark Age.
With its 100Hz refresh rate and 1MS reaction time, it will not be the first choice for staunch competitive gamers, and it will not take advantage of powerful performance that ASUS TUF can draw with gaming A18 RTX 5070 (can distribute more than 200 FPS rates with DLSS 4).
Nevertheless, especially for the budget gaming system, it can pull some powerful fine, butterizing smooth view.

With the settings for EPIC at 1080p resolution, with NVIDIa’s multi-love genes on X4, I was dropping the buildings, popping shots and getting cash in the finals in all my graphical, fast-medical glory. And the frame rate was smooth enough to get clear shots in the competition.
With similar settings in doom: dark ages were turned on with patch tracing, while this was not the same “wow” moment I had experienced on 4K monitor, I was still influenced by the war-torn, demon-worked settings in the game. Visual signal, such as green jewelry you can return to enemies, were clear, and despite this were looking at it Now! A smug grain, I was happy what it was able to pull.
For people with budget laptops or gaming PCs, nitro KG272E provides an affordable way to elevate the visuals of your system, if only a bit, and it is a fairly suited solution to wallet.
… but not right

While I have been influenced by its gaming capacity and how it handles productivity, I paid attention to two downsides that are indispensable for gaming monitors at this price.
I tried to put on “Love, Death + Robots”, which is known for the visually stunning animation. I saw the “Can Stop”, which is a new music video for originally reputed Red Hot Chile Papers, watching them as puppets. Nitro KG272 E can capture the stunning lights and frantic movements of the band, but I notice during deep moments, such environments that were not in the show.
This is due to the brightness of the performance. This is not much on an average 196.2 NIT of SDR glow (no HDR here). If it is in a room where the sun can get on it, it will be difficult to see what is on the performance.
The speaker is not an important sales point, either. They can look hollow without that Oomph From bass, and when it’s okay to look easy, you will not blow fire from the audio. Essentially, you may want to get one of the best gaming headsets instead.
Now, everyone said, these are only minor points that are common with budget monitor. In addition, do not expect a perfectly jaw leaving scene, but for those who only require a simple and inexpensive gaming monitor solution to catch with competitive multiplayer games or even the latest single-player adventures, then Acer Nitro KG272E does so in its structure.
If I was a student after a performance, I can imagine being at the top of my list.
