Sunto Ocean: Two minute review
The Suunto is working hard to innovate in recent years, when it comes to smartwatch, and its latest dive watch on that trend, its predecessor, Sunto D5 (a clock that I personally have with myself and dives with myself, a clock, so that I am very beautiful).
Like the outgoing model, Sunto Ocean has a relatively small 1.43-inch AMOLED display, which is 36 mm. It seems small, but the high-deficit, circular performance with automatic glitter adjustment. It feels similar to my 49 mm apple Watch Ultra 2 in terms of readability, so don’t close it.
All models are benefited by strong sapphire crystal glass, but the stainless steel case does not provide more protection than casual ding as something like a gamin phenix 8, which is available for the same price with titanium. We want to see the titanium used in the future Sunto models for better longevity, clearly an important idea for the Finnish company Sunto, which is an 11.63 Co2E emissions for the production of the ocean, which is offset through a revival project. For reference, Apple claims 12kg of CO2E for Ultra 2 with Alpine or Trail Loop band (not a band made for scuba diving), so Sunto’s work to reduce emissions here is commendable if we take it to an inscribed price.
In 95+ activities you can track, in addition to sleep and recovery trekking, the main reasons you are considering a Sungo Ocean, its dive-specific abilities, including support for air and nitrox, including 100% oxygen, including support for air and nitrox. You can configure five separate gases, but if you are advancing boundaries, you will see a lack of support for more advanced systems such as ribrettors or trimics (mixture of oxygen, helium and nitrogen).

By hand, if you are upgraded to a Sunto D5, you will be happy to know that the ocean works with the same transmitter. If you are buying a new, the Sungo tank pod is sold separately for about half of the watch price (prices below).
Away from all technical goods, the Sunto Ocean is also a great option for freedvers and holidayckers, who just want to track their snorkeling campaigns with one of the best swimming watches. This will track you up to 60 meters all the way, which is above the recreational boundaries. He said, the clock itself is physically rated up to 100 meters, so it would be good that there is equal amount of support for diving activities. After all, why the cap?
Our favorite Sunto is a new to the Ocean feature industry – of course, if you are an experienced diver, those familiar dive profiles are extremely helpful to help you identify trends, patterns and possible causes to worry to make your dive, but the watch will also use data from your sensor, such as gyroscopper, to map your dive in 3D.
In our experience, it was not always completely accurate, but you will expect it from the first generation product. Even where you are on a map during your 40-minute dive, it is not less than a game-chainer because it helps you imagine an environment that provides very limited visibility in it when you are in it (sometimes centimeters instead of meters).
Even though it handles land-based activity and sleep tracking, the battery of the ocean is more than the 6–12-hour dive tracking of life D5. Sunto now claims 40–60 hours of dive tracking, or up to 16 days of regular smartwatch mode. It is a dive tracking of over 30 hours offered by Ultra-Hai-And Garmin Deccent MK3i.
On that note, Sunto Ocean Ships with an old school USB-A charger, which does not even lasts modern standards. We want to see it upgrading it with USB-C connection, given that the world is moving in this way. Remember that Sunto is about reducing its carbon footprint, and it should be extended to e-waste.

Our test watch also arrived with a small strap, which was not enough to move around a dryusuit sleeve and may not be so good for the weightcoot. Given that it is designed for diving, it would be good to include a long strap in the box. Nevertheless, you want that for that small strap when you are not diving.
Like any other piece of diving devices, I test, Sunto Ocean made several outings at the Dive Club, where it was inspected by many members (in great detail). In this case, it led to a sales, in which a member chooses to upgrade crisp, color performance after water witness and upgrade impressive land activity tracking and battery life.
I think that just about the Sungo Ocean present briefly presents my experience, it is also a correct mixture of (relative) strength, function and design, so recommendation for any entertaining diver is really easy to recommend.

Sunto Ocean: Price and Availability

- $ 899 / £ 725 / AU $ 1,399
- Suunto Tank Pod: $ 439.95 / £ 320 / AU $ 549
Sunto’s leading dive clock, The Ocean costs $ 899, which keeps it at the more affordable end of the smartwatch fully obtained. It is more than Sunto D5 ($ 649), but it works as two different watches and still manages the days of battery life, so you can buy some cash versus two different systems.
