Despite being the owner of two smart TVs, I still use my trusted third generation Chromecast while leaving at home and while leaving. Even if you feel that Chromecasts are tomorrow’s streaming devices, there are some excellent reasons that it is worth tracking a chromecast at the age of the underlying apps and streaming boxes.

Chromecasts are compact
Chromecast is an ideal example of portable technology. Even the most recent Google Chromecast with Google TV is smaller than the palm of your hand, and since it can be operated through the TV port of the TV, it does not usually require power brick for operation. However, it requires a dedicated HDMI slot, and as usually utterly evacuated, Chromecast is as prudent as it is compact.
As a person who despises clutter, the small footprint of Chromecast is refreshed. I do not want to take place on my entertainment console (with messy wiring -which usually with it), as its successor, is accompanied by Google TV Stremen 4K. This compact size also means that Chromecast is easy to slip into my tech thach and take it everywhere, I effectively make it a portable streaming hub for all my entertainment needs.

It’s easy to set and go
I often watch to open my favorite TV shows while traveling. Hotel streaming options may be lacking, or even no one can be, so my Chromecast comes in handy. Chromecast with Google TV also includes its own remote and interface, so it is a standalone streaming device if your hotel TV lacks smart features, and you will not suffer from missing handsets or flat batteries.
The Chromecast setup is easy and just takes a few minutes. Provided you have a decent Wi-Fi connection or data plan, you are all sets. However, it is worth noting that many hotels use captive portals Wi-Fi, which requires web authentication to reach the network. Therefore it is necessary to share your hotel Wi-Fi, to overcome this barrier, by adding all its equipment-Krromcast was included in your private network.

It is great for limited bandwidth situations
If you use your chromecast while walking, you will often face conditions where the Wi-Fi signal is crowded or limited by the data cap. In most cases, it is worth sacrificing visual quality for a consistent service, and my third generation Chromecast, which has streams in 1080p, is lighter on the bandwidth.
Your Chromecast also streams directly from the Internet instead of your mobile, as with screen mirroring, which reduces data load on your devices. Additionally, new chromecasts contain adaptive streaming, which adjusts the resolution dynamically based on your available bandwidth. It reduces buffering and enables smooth playback even on the most unstable network.

Older models are completely smartphone-operated
If you are the owner of yourself or are considering buying an old chromecast as a backup device, the first-third generation models are completely smartphone-manufacturing, so that you can control them directly through streaming apps or via Google Home. I think this approach is very user friendly, and when I travel I do not have to remote an additional remote.
Of course, you can also control the latest Chromecast with Google TV with your smartphone through Google Home App. However, this device is quite expensive compared to the previous generations of Chromecast, and I appreciate the fact that the earlier equipment was fully designed around smartphone compatibility to keep them as well as possible.

It works basically with Google Ecosystem
Even when using my smart TV, with Samsung Smartathings Compatibility, I will leave my Chromecast in the plug as a quick and easy alternative to casting. I can easily share pictures of recent visits through Google photos, or put a YouTube video, without waiting for loading or switching the app, and it is much less than using my TV’s underlying screen sharing options.
Additionally, my Google Nest Hub Display, Android Phone, Google Assistant and Google Homes all work originally with Chromecast. I also use it to convert my TV into a dynamic photo frame, when in standby mode, which has been configured to display all photos in my favorite folder. New models such as Chromecast with Google TV also offer a user interface that allows users to run the app directly on the device and include a remote with Google auxiliary integration. Away from being fruitless, a chromecast greatly enhances modern smart home.
Although I have just bought the latest Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, I will not say goodbye to my Chromecast yet. This tragicly closed product is the perfect portable device, which is flexibility, ease in setup, and the ability to handle low-bandwidth streaming as well as tight integration with Google’s several services. As far as all my smart devices are concerned, Chromecast has been the most widely used, the highest performance, and the best value for money from the margin.
