The ever expanded world of Minecraft is getting another important update in the future that will make copper more useful.
In a brief video, Mojang notes that this resource is “actually abundant”, it gets too much mining, but usually gets stored. This is the set change in the next game drop – the team planned to give it “more of one purpose”.
It sees copper chest, copper armor, copper tools and copper weapons in Bedrock beta and preview today.
This is the first time a tool and armor tier is added after the Nether update. Copper is also easier to find compared to iron, so the team feels that this update will be helpful in the first stages of the game.
The copper golem has also been reinstated with more “attractive mechanic” from 2021 Mob vote (won by Allay). The new design means that it will take the item from the copper chest and help them in an empty chest or with an inventory management with a matching item.
