If you want to go older, the XL model has also slashed its price for Prime Day.
Cnet key takeaways
Android phones often get a bad rap to be highly complicated. And to be fair, it is often well appropriate. For example, in the Samsung’s Galaxy S25 range, there are deep menu systems to mess up with almost every aspect of the phone, as well as a variety of facilities such as the age panel sidebar and Samsung’s own AI tools. Even you get a Samsung version of some apps, so you end two apps for photos, two apps for web browsing and so on.
For many Android users, the deep adaptation capacity of the OS has always been a sales point on the more simplified iOS found on the iPhones of Apple. But just because you want an Android phone, not necessarily you are a staunch technical nard who wants to tinker with the menu throughout the day.
Pixel 9 Pro is the easiest Android phone that I have ever used, and there are many important reasons.

My experience with Pixel 9 Pro
First, this is Google’s own phone, which means that there is no secondary manufacturer software skin on top of the operating system. It is pure, unattured android. Google’s interface is clean, easy to read and uncontrolled. Naturally, it uses its apps of Google by default. Samsung, meanwhile, loads your phone with its own browser, email client and photo gallery, all sit next to Google’s chrome, gmail and photo apps, which means that you already have duplicate of each tool.
Samsung is not the only phone-maker to do so. Almost all Android phone companies load their phones at least with their own browser and gallery apps, while some companies, such as Samsung and Honor, go to make their own email clients and calendars.
With its pure android software, the Pixel 9 Pro offers a super-cleaned and easy-use experience.
I recently reviewed the Honor 400 Pro, and one of the big issues found with that phone was how much unwanted items were pre-loaded as a standard. Tiktok, LinkedIn, WPS Office, Temu and the third-party apps of many others, as soon as you turn it on for the first time, recover in the same way that the phone has a chance to install one of its own apps, before the phone is disorganized, bloated and complex. Pixel does not have any of it.
This is the same with AI tool. Samsung has its own bixesbies, as well as a vast variety of its own AI functions. The Honor 400 Pro packs a group of AI features for real -time translation and transcription, as OnePlus 13 and various other recent Android phones. But they all come with the Gemini advanced of Google, as well as to search with the circle. There is no need to double the pixel. If you want to use AI with your phone, its equipment is cooked in the heart of phone experience, without the need to activate you and signed in third party service.
This simple approach is also spread to the camera. Open the default camera app and you have found with a clean interface, which includes most shutter buttons and zoom levels, along with other shooting mode. It does not try to overcome things here, instead lets you shoot images quickly without messing up the settings.
It is an approach that works here, and as a result, the Pixel 9 Pro takes some of my favorite automated images from a phone camera, a great job of balanced exposure and colors. I love Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera, but to get the best from this, you need to shoot in pro mode, taking manual control of settings, which makes it more favorable to advanced photographers who want to fix their images.
The simple software of the camera makes it easier to take photos with a little effort.
If you want it, the pixel provides deep control, easily hidden behind a small settings icon, instead you need to switch to “Pro” mode. For those of you who want to take manual control of your white balance to heat a beautiful sunset, the Pixel 9 Pro offers an easy way.

Canet purchase advice
Google has clearly taken notes from Apple’s perspective in creating a pixel range. Apple’s phone can be obtained for the lack of adaptation by Android fans and “lock down” nature, but is famous for operating iPhones. They have integrated hardware, software and services that make them easy to understand whether you are new to smartphones or an experienced gadget obsessed.
Apple’s “You do Things Under Way” approach is a large part of the success of the phone, and the Pixel 9 Pro thinks that you can find on Android, like the closest to the Apple experience. If you are looking for a clean experience with a smartphone, which does not try to get into your way with unnecessary extra, then Pixel 9 Pro is definitely worth a look.
