The satin pillow offers a gentle, silky surface to smooth the skin and hair on a budget, which is why I have been using them for years. But in this summer, in the grip of a long heatwave in my city, I am beginning to realize that satin pillows are not the best for hot weather.

Even the best pillows that boast of cooling or respiratory properties, if you wear them in materials that do not offer temperature regulation. So, that’s why I finally decided to eat my sitting pillow.

Instead, I am choosing for pillows made of materials that are naturally cold or temperature-regulations. There is a breakdown of a breakdown here why satin pillow should not be used during the warm months and three other types of materials should be seen in Amazon Prime Day Sleep and Matter deals.

Satin is any cloth with a specific weaving technique that produces a bright, smooth texture.

Traditionally, satin was made of silk, but satin now refers to any synthetic material (usually polyester, rayon, or nylon) with a silk texture and sheen that mimics pure silk. People I use are made of polyester.

Satin is used in pillows for various reasons. First, it is inexpensive, cost under $ 10 with average satin pillow. It is also easy to clean and is usually machine-wasteable.

Another reason is that the satin pillow has enjoyed an increase in popularity, their skin and hair benefits. The satin is soft on the skin and can reduce the form of wrinkles and fine lines, while soft and smooth fabrics prevent hair breakage and fridge.

Why should you not use a satin pillow during hot weather

Despite its beauty gains and low price and maintenance, there is no pillow breath made of satin and you can feel warm at night. This is a defect that I recently discovered while trying to sleep during heatwave.

No matter how much I tried, I could not only find that sweet cold side of my pillow, so I decided to do some research and realized that my polyester satin was creating heat and trapping moisture, making an uncomfortable and damp night sleep.

3 cooling options for a satin pillow

While a gentle, silky feeling in satin pillow is very good for hair and skin, there are other pillow materials that are kind for skin and hair while regulating temperature and keep you cool.

Here is my top three pics for a cool and soft place to relax my head.

    1. silk

Well, I believe that I wanted to get silk hair and skin benefits at a cheap price in the first place.

However, if this means that I want to feel overheat overnight, I am ready to pay extra for breathing something else.

On the other hand, silk, breathable and moisture, which means that it will implicate heat or humidity that can cause night sweat and discomfort.

This helps to regulate the main temperature of your body so that you can be kept cold at hot nights (and warm in cold nights). Like satin, the smooth surface of silk is kind to hair and helps the skin to maintain moisture, which maintains moisture to reduce rebuke and dryness.

    2. bamboo

Bamboo Sleep has been a quite a breakout star in the industry, taking natural materials with many brands behind the top mattress on the market to its best mattress toppers and beds.

Why? Because bamboo is great in reducing night sweat and naturally in overheating through breathing and moisture-dub of moisture.

Soft, hypoallergenic texture is kind to sensitive skin and can also reduce friction that leads to hair breakage and touch. In addition, it protects the skin moisture levels, causing irritating, healthy skin.

    3. Tensel leosel

Tensel Lyocell (or only tencel) is used in premium brands such as helix and cooling beds of Tempur-Pedic, and for good cause-this silk is soft, hypoallergenic and promotes air-circulation for a cool-to-touch feel.

This silky surface also reduces the breakdown of rupture and smooth fries, while its antimicrobial and moisture-development properties promote skin hygiene and a moisturized complexion.
