I am a gardener and a lot of garden gears, but even black thumbs with a yard. And those hoses are a pain. They demand snakes across the ground, rolled back on cheap plastic reels, or are coils far away from very neatly. If they are not consistently away, they come in contact with the sun, as well as people walk on them, driving on them, or trip to them. Once the reel is installed, you can easily pull it into the yard which you have installed. I installed it at hip altitude, but in the future, I can install them even more. Nevertheless, you avoid the issue of pulling a hose around the raised beds and most of the trailis, because the tube is above them. It is shocking and easily exits. To withdraw the hose, you give it a light bridge and then stand back, because it goes. In my experience, it is rarely caught on anything, and when it happens, I pull it out a few feet and it cures itself.

Mount and external housing look strong and smart, in brown colors that never look dirty. They ship with an interchangeed spray nozzle, but any standard nozzle will fit well. You can buy a hose in different lengths and strength.

I do not need a power sprayer, I just use a jet setting on the hose, and it removes any surface debris on my courtyard. I like to be able to reach the farthest corners of my yard with the hose, and none of my plants are at risk.

The last thing is: Giraffe is a fantastic Warranty. If they are any leaks or issues for two years, they will replace the hose. One of my three developed a tear (my mistake; I caught it on a steel wheelbro) and no question was asked, a week later a new replacement came.

I have many length giraffe reel, both 1/2 and 5/8, and I like them all. You just need to choose the right length for yourself – remember that you want to be able to reach the ends of your yard. Almost all of them are on sale of 20% right now.
