Although Google’s earlier-preferred release of Google was recalling some important features, updated OS provides better security that each Android will be well advised to enable user.
I will explain these two major security facilities and how to find and enable them.

1. Check the identity
This feature was added in 2024, but it did not pay much attention until the release of Android 16. What is an identity investigation?
Suppose you are away from home (which you have nominated as a reliable place – more in a bit on it). When you go away, someone gets access to your phone and either goes to make changes in important safety settings or tries to reach the saved password or other sensitive information. Because the phone is far from your reliable place, when that person tries to make those changes, biometric authentication will prevent them from reaching those features or data.

It is a matter of identity check here: it is not easy to find. The best way to detect convenience is to open the setting app and search for “check -up”. Once on the identity check page, you can enable the feature (it should be enabled by default) and add a reliable location. Once you add a reliable location, biometrics will not be required for that particular location.
Enable identity to check but I will not add reliable places (so you are out of the new security facility of Android).

Personally, I have opted not to add a reliable space to ensure that I use the safety of my Pixel 9 Pro. Of course, depending on you. Since I go “better than sorry” by the mantra, “I will get out of any possibility of bypassing security.
2. Advanced protection
This new additional spyware for Android, malicious app, unsecured connections and bringing many strong safety measures together to protect from online dangers.
Advanced protection can be the most advanced protection and has been done till date Android has been done.

When you enable advanced security (it is capable by default), the following security measures are enabled:
- Device security (lost, stolen or protects from seized phones)
- Apps (Memory protects from bugs and malicious apps)
- Network (stops unsafe connections)
- Web (protects from unsafe websites)
- Phone by Google (protects from spam call)
- Google Message (protects from spam and scam)

All the above security is only enabling advanced security. You tap the on/off slider until it is in the on position, and your Android phone is preserved.
One more thing: account security
However, there is another thing you can do. On the same advanced security page, you will see an entry with the “account security” label. If you tap that (and then certified), you can enable your Google account to protect advanced security from targeted online attacks. Once on the resulting page, tap on “Enrollment in Advanced Protection”.
Make sure you add and confirm a recovery email.

and that’s it. Once you enable these features (and nominate your Google account in advanced security), your information and phone will be better preserved against the loss.
