
Uber is giving more control over women on their next ride. Ride-share app launched Female preferences On Wednesday, which allows women to match with female drivers for further safety and safety.
According to Uber’s press release, the change between female riders and drivers has been widely requested.

The new feature will be launched in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Detroit in the next few weeks.
Female drivers will be one of the options such as Uberx, Green, or XL, when Uber orders on-demand. If a female Uber driver waiting is higher than other options, then women may choose another ride option in place of a female driver. They will have the opportunity to reserve a ride with a female driver and create a preference in the app for female drivers to increase the chances of matching with one for preferences in Uber’s app settings.
In contrast, female drivers will get an opportunity to match with female riders during peak hours.
Women rider preference was originally launched in Saudi Arabia in 2019 and has since expanded to 40 countries.
Security facility is addressing the concerns raised by Uber women riders. Uber filed 2,717 reports of sexual harassment incidents, according to Uber’s 2021 to 2022 US Security Report. This is a 22% change from 3,824 reports in 2019 and 2020. “Since our first security report was released, we have seen a 44% decrease in sexual harassment rate,” Uber said in his report.
