In my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Review, I described it as the best Android phone. It is sharp, it is beautifully designed, it has a great screen, and those who capture photos and videos are the best that you can get from mobile phones. Who would not want that kind of phone?
Then Galaxy is AI. As Samsung lent me a Galaxy S25 Ultra Unit, I was very lucky that I try the phone for free, and my appreciation for this gadget has only increased with time. The only part I do not take advantage of this … Galaxy AI. here’s why.
I don’t want Galaxy AI to write anything for me

The Galaxy AI includes a device called writing assist who will happily pop up a text input box, and either re -write what you have written, or generate something completely new. This is not just Samsung, either: Open Gmail on a Galaxy phone and Google will offer for you to write your email before writing your email, which has a chance to write aid.
As I have learned from talking to friends, it seems that now people are ready to prepare their messages and emails to AI to write their messages and emails – to respond to customers, to apply for jobs, and so on. Of course, it is easy and convenient to get AI to do everything, and if you spend sufficient amounts of your day’s email, you can save an important time.
There are two main reasons that I will never use writing aid: One, I want to communicate with people using my thoughts and words, and do not lose the ability to think about which word should follow the next in a sentence. Two, the text produced is always normally normal, unfortunate, boilerplate slope. Certainly we do not want a world where AI is handling all our communications? Correct?

Summary is something else that Galaxy AIs are eager to do as many times as possible: notes, webpages, messages, and more can all be earn with a couple on the screen. Then, I can see how it is a real time for people, especially when it comes to long documents, and it is speed and feature that makes it attractive.
This is not for me, though. Even if it takes more time, I want to read something properly myself. I do not believe in AI to understand which points to include and which one to leave – in fact how do you know what is important and what is not? Whether it is an email related to the work or a review of the film, I want to read everything that it has to say.
I hope we are not going towards a digital world where everything is briefly. There is a value in a meditation period that can stay beyond a minute, and actually give our brain to do something.

With Galaxy AI, you can make AI Art using a text prompt, you can use AI to change your amateur sketch, and you can host AI-managed editing in your photos. Then, this is not something that I have any desire to use, not at least because I can’t really think of cases of any use for it.

Okay, perhaps if there is a great family picture that has a tree in an unfortunate situation, I probably want to erase it. But then, in my mind, it becomes a fake photo – it was not really there. If you are removing a tree, you can white to the teeth and brighten the eyes, or even create the whole image from just scratch.
Like the AI text, AI images are very common and lifeless. They are more polished than once, but they are still a lot of inequalities and inaccurates, and often asked in a way that asked quickly. And this energy is not mentioned by the amount of AI image generation needs.
Sometimes, AI can be useful

There are times when AI can be helpful, although it is a little different ways for the generative AI tools that I mention here. I have not used them, but voice-to-text transcription and live translations that can do Galaxy AI are really impressive, and I think they are really involved on a phone-they are not right.
For the rest, however, I am not sure that Samsung needs to push Galaxy AI to a great extent in our face. And this is not just Samsung: Everyone is doing this. Modern day smartphones are working with AI equipment and features. I am not sure they are meaningful.
It was disappointed to see how Apple announced how it was invested in AI, just after chat and Gemini’s explosion, only to delay large parts of Apple Intelligence because they were not ready. My advice to phone manufacturers: Keep focusing on what makes the phone great – like Galaxy S25 Ultra – and even more worries about packing in AI.
