Uber Eats announced on Wednesday that it would now allow restaurants and traders to chat with customers to help prevent issues with orders. The app is also introducing new AI tools for traders, and inviting users to submit photos of their order if the item does not yet have the menu image.

With the new “Live Order Chat” feature, traders can give a message in real time to confirm the replacement for real -time items, clarify special requests and check on diet or allergic preferences.

Uber says that users cannot start chatting with traders, as customers can only convey a message to traders if they have approached them before. The live order is available for both the chat delivery and pickup order, and ends after handing the courier or food to the customer for pickup.

The launch of the new feature comes three months after Uber Eat rival Dordash. Announced capacity for traders To solve order issues directly to chat with customers.

For the new AI tools for traders, Uber Eats are launching AI-operated summary of customer reviews to make it easier to understand the scale. In addition, the Uber is rolling out the AI-blessing item details for the Eats menu to help users to make informed decisions as to to order.

The app will also use AI to enhance low quality food images by improving lighting, resolution, framing and plating. For example, if a takeout container has a picture of food, Uber bricks can use AI to generate the image of the same dish on a plate.

In addition, Uber Eats will now encourage users to snap a picture of their delivery. The company says it is doing so because it is known that customers are more likely to order a dish when they are able to see what it looks like. If a customer’s picture is chosen and published, they can get $ 3 in Uber Cash if they live in America, Canada, Mexico or UK
