This wall-mounted smart calendar is a game changer in my house (and it’s $ 50 off)

    Key takeaways of zdnet

    • The 15-inch Skylite calendar is a smart display for $ 320, with a 10-inch version available for $ 160.
    • It is a touchscreen calendar designed with a busy lifestyle that allows shared use within a domestic or team.
    • Although this proves unavoidable for my family, I want to only appear in events, not in events, the calendar visible, and the 15 -inch version is expensive at $ 320.

Skylight calendar For back-to-school shopping is on sale for $ 270 in time, a discount of $ 50.

To be organized is a never ending fight for me. As a self-declared “organized person”, I like to control everything in my schedule, environment and middle. But every time I succeed in bringing my things in order, something throws me, whether it is a new child, a new house, or a cross-transit move.

Also: There is no membership fee of my favorite indoor security camera

I have always liked pens and paper, so I like my bullet journal and wall calendar very much. But I do not always be with them, and when I need one, I can never get pen. This is the reason Skylight calendar Has had such an impact on my life.

Running around the house with three young children and a dog, I often forget what time to go and what time to do. This lapse is a result of doctor appointments, which come with missed appointment fees. You have also found a variety of hot mess family staples: being the only child in school without toys during extra curriculum classes, share day, double-booking activities, etc.

I have always rely on my wall calendar, a trusted traditional paper calendar will get me from Walmart every year, to keep me on the track. But after going across the country and buying a new house, after starting new jobs, new schools, new doctors and new everything, paper-made decorations could not be kept. I forget to add events or things that I need to fulfill, and the older ‘out of sight, out of mind may not be more accurate.

Looking for the option of my paper calendar, I tested the skylight calendar and started testing the final fall and realized that I could never go back.

The Skylight Calendar is a 15-inch smart display that looks like a high-end tablet. It runs an Android-based OS and displays a calendar at all times. The calendar can be placed on a table or shelf, or applied on the wall. I chose the latter installation method to replace my old wall calendar.

Using the Skylight App on my phone, I can add events, dinner and dinner plans and make a list for everyone to look at the wall calendar within seconds. Each account also gets a custom skylight email address that you can give to those who do not have an app. They can then send events in the email that will be added to the calendar almost immediately.

There are different options by adding events like a core chart and dinner plan in the Skylite calendar.

This means that no matter where I am, whether on the phone with a doctor, on the way to school pickup, or at home, I can always send an event to my calendar on my wall from my phone.

You may think, why don’t you use your phone calendar app? The most important difference between using a calendar on the Skylite calendar and your smartphone is that it always appears, wherever you put it. So the screen displays the calendar at all times, except that when you schedule it to sleep, which I do at 9 pm every night. This makes it at the center of a family, where everyone, even young children who do not have a phone, can see what is going on and when.

You may be happy to hear that the Skylite calendar is also an auto-pin with other popular digital calendars, such as Google, Outlook, Apple, Cozi and Yahoo.

When you are not actively using the skylight calendar, the screen remains until the calendar you choose in the scene is determined to sleep in the scene. Skylight allows you to display photos on your calendar when it is inactive, like a digital picture frame, requiring a Skylight Plus plan at $ 39 per year. I decided to give up membership for now. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that this option allows you to import email or PDF to automatically convert events on your calendar, which seems very convenient.

The skylight calendar became the perfect addition to our drop zone.

Now, on the elephant in the room – or on the wall. I cannot shine at the cost of the skylight calendar-not at $ 320 for a 15-inch model.

The price was the biggest thing that stopped me from buying a skylight calendar. Since Skylite is not the most widely famous brand, I was afraid that I would spend so much for a tablet that the brick would end in a year or two when the company stopped providing support for it or something happened for it. It is not like buying a tablet from Apple, Samsung, or Amazon, where you will know that you will find a few years worth of its use.

Also: How are these portable solar panels saving me $ 30 per month – and what do you know

I have my skylight calendar for a year and a half, and the company is growing. The calendar has seen several updates since then, and the company has released a new, larger version.

Finally, I was lucky enough to get a review unit LightningAnd after using it for a few months, I am sure I will buy one for myself, even if it is $ 320. Skylight also sells 10 inch calendar at $ 160An excellent choice for small families, joints, or individuals, and Silver version $ 250 is on sale.

The most important sales point for the Skylite calendar is that it provides a visual and interactive way to help display your calendar and organize you. It auto-sinks with the calendar of your phone and allows you to connect events wherever it is, so everyone at home can see them. It is attracting a lot of attention from visitors in my house, and one of my guests also bought one for themselves as soon as they saw it in action.
