A new personal productivity app is called ocean Is Launch To help tries your overloaded inbox, take action by turning them into tasks on your email, and share your availability for meetings with others, all in one app.

Today, Gmail dominates such a heavy email market that some challengers emerge. Realizing this, the ocean decided to work with Gmail, not competing against it. As a third-party client, it may be difficult to get a notch in the market, but successful email apps have proved an attractive acquisition. Yahoo bought the email app Xobni at $ 60 million and for example, Microsoft snatched the partner for $ 200 million in the last decade.

This market opportunity attracted co-founders Martin duft And Scott lake -The initial shopify co-founder-created Bigwave Labs Started dealing with emails in early 2019. This work was eventually done in the ocean, an app that focused on more efficient email management. (Scott now acts as the financial backcut and advisor of the app, says Duft.)

The app works with Gmail or Google Western work accounts, allowing users to turn their email into functions and action items so that they do not forget.

To do this work, the app consists of its own task manager, which has access to the user’s email. This means that you do not need to copy or paste information in the outer two-do app instead of getting access to those features, which are beyond going beyond Google’s task manager.

With the ocean, you can make tasks using rich formatting, set the fixed dates, arrange tasks into the folder, and link email to your work notes. It can also automatically draw an action item from email for you for a long time.

You can choose to manage emails that you want to make a task later, instead to leave them up or apply some type of label.

For inbox zero enthusiasts, the killer feature will be Ocean’s inbox Triage Tools.

The app allows you to filter email by categories like the first-time (people who used to email you for the first time), continuously pingers (people who email you repeatedly), and email from your contacts. It can also do emails that have been marked as spam, but can be in your inbox, so you do not remember anything important.

Ocean membership management also offers the equipment tool – a recently added feature Gmail has been added – which is in addition to the basic email functions of composition, answer, flag bearer, collection and email removal.

In addition, Ocean Built-in Meeting offers scheduling tools that let you determine your availability based on your pending and booked events. Here, you can set your open time and prevent others from booking meetings at the last time, which is an easy trick.

You can also send an automated email invitation to meet recipients, confirm the meeting proposals from a web interface, and add automatically confirmed meetings to your calendar.

Ocean iPhone App It has just been launched, but a new Mac app is in functions, which will include an icloud sink. The team hopes that it will launch it by the end of the year. The company aims to generate revenue through its non-recurring membership model, Ocean Blue, costing $ 67. Membership includes one year updates with new features and functions. It will also provide access to the Mac app, when it comes.

“I think people are tired of recurring membership,” Dufts. “We wanted to move away from it, but still provide a model that would be durable for us. So we decided to define this ocean blue membership. The app is basically a fremium model – you get free base functions forever,” that continues. “(Membership) pressures us that we provide value to this app because we are moving,” they say.

Blue membership will also include AI email summary facilities and email insights.

Interested users can first put the ocean into a test with a 14-day free test that does not change you automatically to a customer paying.
