With the launch of the new Pixel 10 series, Google is moving beyond Apple to give AI-operated smartphones to consumers. The devices declared by the Google event on Wednesday come a few weeks before Apple’s expected iPhone 17, which promises to choose from the same – better cameras, possibly thin devices and new colors.
Google, meanwhile, is rapidly integrating its AI platform into its equipment.
Last year, its Pixel 9 series added several AI features, such as Gemini Live (Gemini’s voice mode), image-generation tools, call notes, searchable screenshots, and more. Since then, Google says that Gemini Live Conversation has proved to be 5x longer compared to text-based conversations.

This year, the tech veteran is rolling even more AI-operated upgrade with the launch of his Pixel 10, including a visual overlay feature for the camera, an active “magic Q” feature, camera coach, voice translate for call, an assistant-liches “tech a message” feature, pixel journ, and more.
Jointly, updates allow Google to show what its latest AI technology can do when its tenser is extended by G5 processor, the company’s custom silicon upgrade is designed for AI experiences and is first running its latest Gemini Nano model.
Along with the launch, Google announced that Mithun Live will achieve a new audio model that will detect your tone – as you are excited or worried – and adjust its reaction accordingly.

In addition to a feature called visual overlay, Gemini Live will be able to see what you see through your camera lens and provide guidance by exposing things on your screen. For example, while traveling in a foreign country, you can catch your phone to see if the roadside provides information about the roadside parking.

Another new feature allows AI to become more active by offering relevant suggestions in real -time apps such as Magic Q, Gmail, Calendar, Messages, Screenshots and others.
The idea of a more active conversation between people and Google Technology is something that the company has dreamed of long before the AI era. For example, in the early 2010s, Google introduced an Android feature called Google Now, which would pop up cards with your daily schedule or real -time information related to day time, such as nearby restaurants, upcoming meetings, or flight details in lunchtime.
Years later, Magic Q is an AI-manufacturing recreation of this feature, but one where it inserts itself in your everyday apps and interactions.

Google displayed how magic Q may suggest a restaurant to eat with a restaurant, providing quick access to calls in restaurants to reservation. It can propose to answer your friend with a reservation details or you may indicate your calendar to check your availability.
The suggestions of magic cue appear within the app you are being used and is wrapped with a rainbow outline to separate them, as well as a personal daily digest in your discover feed, within the daily hub. You can also tap on its suggestions to take action.

In addition, similar to Google Now, magic Q surface reminder will be able to create a surface. But it goes one step ahead by popping the reminder and information more easily. For example, it may remind you that you need to handle, such as the return of an online order, suggest the subjects you want to do, or recommend streaming the new playlist.
At the time of launch, the suggestions of Magic Q will be limited to disposing of a tab, adding events in their calendar and showing activities such as showcasing the upcoming journey in the Weather app. Over time, Google will combine other options and will configure which data source facilitates.
Apple, it should be noted, trying to do something similar by using users to talk to Siri and to take action within their apps, but unfortunately, its AI-in-operated Siri is delayed by 2026.
The Pixel 10 series is one of the more interesting additions camera coach, an AI-manual auxiliary who has to make you a better photographer.

This feature will be launched in previews with new devices and uses Gemini models to give suggestions about better frames and composition to its shot. You can also choose a “inspired” option that will suggest scenes you would not consider.

Also, when you are taking a group photo, the camera will now be able to identify. The “Auto Best Tech” feature activates and analyzes the 150 images shot in several seconds to find the best – whether it is a shot you have inflicted yourself or by mixing others together through AI.

Then, with the AI-Purd “Ask Photo” tool, you can edit the shot to do other things, such as fixing the light, replacing the framing, or removing an object from the photo either speaking or texting photo ‘AI Assistant.
On Pro devices, the Pro Race Zoom Options will also use AI to allow you to “zoom” on things like architecture and landscape on 30x-60x or 30x-60x for animals and wildlife.

Pixel 10 phones will also be the first to apply Pixel 10 phones related to their increased use of AI in photography. C2PAA standard that establishes the origin and editing of digital materials, which will help identify the photo revised by AI.
Another new AI feature, voice translate, every speaker feels like its own voice that will use on-device AI to translate your phone call in real time. It can be a possible game changer, especially for business users and world travelers, if it works as well as described. (It is still needed to test by critics, of course.)

This feature will translate from English and Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian and Indonesian.
In Pixel’s phone app, a new addition called Tech A Message provides real-time tape for missed and rejected calls and then uses AI to identify the next steps based on the valor’s vaisalee. (This update call notes will also come.)

Pixel Journal, meanwhile, is the answer to Google for Apple’s Journal App, but uses a AI to inspire you to share your ideas, track your progress towards goals and provide insights over time.

Other modest AI upgrade for the pixel 10 lineup includes writing integrated tools in the gboard keyboard, updates for pixel screenshots at Pixel Studio, and notebook LM integration with recorders and screenshots.
