A pair of Years ago, a curious, the then-16-year-old hacker named Renaldo Waskes-Garsia was on its laptop at its Portland-Aria High School, seeing that the computer system could connect through Wi-Fi-“Use the school network as a laboratory,
After a close look and some Gogling, Garcia came to know that a company by that name was a subsidiary of Motorola, and the equipment found in her school seemed something that was called Hello 3C, a “smart” smoke and vep detection gadget. “They look like smoke detectors, but they have a complete bunch of facilities like sensors and accessories,” Garcia says.
As he read more, he was motivated to find out that Halo 3C is beyond detecting smoke and vapor – especially including a different feature for thy vapping. It also has a microphone to listen to “aggression,” gunshots, and keywords such as a person is calling for help, a feature that raises the concerns of excessive infiltration monitoring of Vaske’s-garsia immediately.
Now, after months of reverse engineering and safety testing, they have participated with Vaske’s-Garsia and a fellow hacker, which goes by the pseudonym name “NYX”, showing that it is possible to hack one of those Halo 3C gadgets-which they have taken to call from the nickname “Snich Puts”-and take full control of it.

Today at the Dafcon Hacker Conference, they are planning to show that by exploiting some relatively simple security weaknesses, any hacker on the same network may have kidnapped a Hello 3C to convert it into real -time audio iwsdroping bug, disabled its identity or even alert, or even so much that it has disabled, or even the proclaiming capacity, disable Audio-audio-audio-audio-audio-audio-audio-audio-audio-motorola said that it has developed a firmware update to address the safety flaws that will automatically carry out cloud-connected devices.
Many tricks of hackers are displayed in a video demo below, which Vaske’s-Garsia and NYX have made ahead of their Dafcon presentation:
