If you are a farmer insurance customer, then you want to pay attention – and perhaps keep an eye on all your important accounts.

As A notice on farmers’ website, About 1.1 million customers Sensitive data was detected in a recent data violation. The compromise information includes the names, addresses, date of birth, driver’s license number and/or the last four digits of their social security numbers.

While the farmers did not explain the accurate details, it was said that the incident came from a third-party database. It was not the name of the third party.

The farmers did not immediately respond to the request of the comment.

The incident took place on 29 May, and the company discovered it the next day, but the customers are still aware.

    What should affected customers do

If you were part of this violation, you should receive a written notice this week or final with the details of the event. But if you have changed addresses since then (or just don’t check your physical mail), you can miss that message.

Farmers said that it is not known that personal information was misused, but it is still encouraging customers to be vigilant to keep a close watch on their account details and credit reports. To help, it is providing free access to Cybercout Single Bureau Credit Monitoring Services for 24 months. There was information about how to claim this monitoring in written communication. You can get more information for free identity-lower services by calling 1-833-426-6809 or check your eligibility.

Checking your credit report with all three major agencies or freezing your credit is not bad, even if you are not affected by this specific violation.
