According to Google’s Gemini, XAI’s Groke, and some extent, chat rivals such as Meta AI, Meta AI,, Openai’s popular AI Chatbot is shutting off the difference to chatter. A new report focuses on consumer AI landscape From the venture firm Andresen Horovitz.
The report, in its fifth repetition, displays two and a half years of data about the developed use of AI products of consumers.
And for the fifth time, 14 companies appeared in the list of top AI products: Chatgipt, Perplexity, Po, Character AI, Midzorney, Leonardo, VON, Cutout, Elevenlabs, Photorum, Gamma, Quillbot, Civitai and Hugging Face.
Companies represent a cross section of how consumers are using AI: for general help, association, image and video editing, voice production, productivity and model hosting.
Five other companies appeared on all, but the first report, firm notes, including Cloud, Deepai, Chowkidar AI, Pixelkat and Sono, who represent General AI use, association, image editing and music generations.
For the first time in the series of reports, Google finished four places in the list of top generative AI consumer web products with entries for Gemini, AI Studio, Notebooks and Google Labs. These products now have their own separate domains, so that their growth can be tracked separately from each other.
Andresen Horovitz says that its report depends on the data of the third-party market intelligence firms for the web products for mobile app data and a similar time for the sensor tower.
Note, the number 2 app Gemini is turning off the difference of number 1 app on mobile devices, but with about half monthly active users. Not surprisingly, Gemini’s AI technology looks at the strong adoption on Android, with about 90% of the monthly active user base. On the web, Mithun also came in second place behind the spat, with about 12% of Chatgpt trips.
The company’s AI studio, a developer-oriented sandbox for manufacture with Gemini models, entered the top 10 list of AI web products sitting in 10th position; Notebooklm was number 13. A destination for Google Labs, AI uses of Google (eg, flow, project mergeer and Dopp) was ranked at number 39.
The report states that Meta AI and Groke are also chasing the top AI app, chatgipt.
Groke was ranked fourth on the web and number 23 on mobile. This is quick development, given that Grake was no stand-alone app in late 2024 (it was first launched on X) with 20 million monthly active users so far. In July 2025, Grake climbed about 40% on release of Groke 4.
The general assistant of Meta ranked number 46 on the web – similar to March – but it did not make a list of top mobile AI apps. In part, it was interrupted by the news that Meta AI was publicly sharing the posts of some users without their informed consent on the web.
Deepsek and Claude also saw their growth on mobile, in the east to 22%from its peak. On the web, Dipsek saw a drop-off of more than 40% fall from its peak in February 2025. Perplexity and cloud, however, continued to grow.
Other Chinese AI manufacturers also created the top 20 on the web, including AI Assistant of No. 9 Quark, Alibaba (number 47 in the mobile list); Number 12 Dobao, General LLM Products of Bidens (No. 4 on Mobile); And number 17 km, a chatbot from Moonshot AI. Each of them has a Chinese website and looks at 75% of traffic coming from China.
Seven additional companies were developed in China in the web list, but their AI technology was exported globally: Deepsek, Haluo, Kling, Cirt, Cutout Pro, Manas and Monica.
On mobile, 22 of the 50 top apps were developed in China, but only three were mainly used in China. Top players here include Meitu (Photo and Video Editor, BeautyPlus, Beautycam, Wink and Airbrush), Bidens (Dowao & Sisi), Goth and Hypic.
Vibe-coding startups cute and both were started in the main list this time, not cut in the A16Z list published back in March this year. (Note that the websites manufactured and published through north and love without custom domains are visible under traffic for Rellit.app and Lovable.app respectively, help them get traction respectively.)
Andresen Horovitz also took time to call the AI apps, which were on the verge of making a list of top AI apps including Pixai, Bolt, Bolt, Blackbox AI, Clipchamp and Getlineer on the web and talkies, sequi, photo AI, AI Mirror and AIvin on mobile.
The firm noted that the mobile list in this month’s report offers more newcomers (14) than before, as both app stores have long been cheated and broken on clones, allowing more original apps to find their feet.
