Meta on Wednesday unveiled a new pair of Ray-Ban Branded Smart Glass, with an underlying performance for apps, alerts and instructions on the right lens. Smart glass is controlled by a restband that raises the gestures of the subtle hand, called the meta neural band, which was unveiled as part of its original demo in last year’s connect.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new product called Meta Ray-Ban Display, on stage at the company’s annual developer conference, Meta Connect 2025. Unlike Orion, Zuckerberg says it is a product that people can buy in a few weeks starting from September 30, and will cost $ 799.
This is the latest attempt to ship a pair of meta consumer smart glasses that can handle many tasks that users traditionally do on smartphones. The device uses electromography (EMG) to take the signals sent between your brain and your hand when pointing. Meta is betting this interface a new way that users can control their devices.
