New features-a fleet of a “shared projects” modes, a fleet of new third-party app connectors, and safety and compliance updates-are designed to promote enterprise customers dependence and confidence in the company’s major AI Chatbot. What is new here
Shared projects
The new shared project mode within Chattgpt allows chatbot to remember the reference to a group conversation over time. Members of the individual team can upload documents or other files on a shared project, and the chatgpt will draw data from the assets to inform the reactions that it generates for future signs within the chat.
Shared projects are stored privately and maintained information over time, making them particularly useful for team conversations focused on client data or other sensitive subjects and for long -running conversations that are subject to frequent updates. A project producer within a team can invite colleagues to cooperate through link or email, similarly how one will invite a colleague to reach Google Doctor. Team partners may join “chat” or “edit” mode.

The update makes on projects, another feature for Chatgpt that began as a type of digital filing system last year, to help users to organize their chats according to the subject or project.
“Now you can share the projects with the teammates, add files and instructions together to direct chatgpt to a shared target,” Openai has written blog post“Members can chat with the context of the project to be on the same page as new information is added and creates frequent living work in tone and style.”
Openai stated that initial tests with convenience of new shared projects have shown that teams were using it updated on shared documents such as proposals and contracts and were using it to maintain a consistent voice in their organization’s communication between other uses.

Connector update
Openai also announced on Thursday that it launched new connectors for Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, GITHUB, Dropbox and Box, provided the capacity to draw direct information from these third-party applications to CHATGPT.
According to Openai, the system can now automatically determine which connector to access without indicating specially, and Chatgpt’s reactions are also rapid and more accurate after the connector discovery.

In a brief demo video in the blog, a user asks Chatgpt for a summary of updates on a work project from his recent email. The chatbot then draws information from the user’s Gmail account and creates a list of the latest relevant developments with action items and other information.
This special update for Chatgpt reflects a comprehensive effort in the technical industry to convert AI assistants into centralized nodes, through which customers can get information – without directing away from the assistant. For example, Anthropic announced a connector update for its cloud chatbot in July, allowing it to rebuild data from external apps such as canva and asan. Earlier, the same month, the AI partner of the zoom was upgraded with the ability to connect more than a dozen third-party apps.
Strict security
For its third and final updates announced on Thursday, Openai has integrated the new security protocol for teams using Chatgpt.

The company says its chatbot now certifies the standards ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701, and its SOC 2 compliance now includes security, privacy, availability and privacy criteria.
Enterprise and entry of EDU accounts can also specify which connectors and other facilities members of the internal team can reach a layer of safety and control. Now they have access to an alternative IP “Allowlisting” facility that ensures that Chatgpt will only respond to requests from approved IP addresses.
“Any request from an unpublished IP is automatically blocked, even if the user has legitimate credentials,” OpenaiI writes in his blog post.
Increasing focus on businesses
Many AI developers have marketed aggressively to businesses as they work to commercialize generic AI products. Openai is allegedly constructing a workplace productivity platform to compete directly with the Google Workplace and Microsoft Office 365, and Chatgpt is now used by more than five million venture customers, according to the company.

Meanwhile, Microsoft and Amazon, in addition to creating their own in-house models, are betting that they can become a reliable middleman for businesses looking to buy AI equipment developed by other companies.
