We are tracking the prices of our top 20 products on this Prime Day – what deals are valid here

With Amazon’s October Prime Day this week, deals and discounts are above the mind. It can be heavy to throw through all deals what is worth exemption, but fortunately, ZDNET has the best sales experience over the years that are actually worth your money.

Also: The best October Prime Day deal is now live

To help you shop more efficiently during Amazon Prime Day (7-8 October), we saw and what to see a good deal based on the value history of a product.

We saw the top ZDNET products (our best list based on the pics and what readers are searching and buying) to compare our list of our products to compare the prices. Here are the products we chose and their current prices at the time of publication:

We also chose a handful of budget products ($ 200 or less) to show the difference of discount with cheap equipment.

How did we compare the prices of the deal

Using Camel Camel Camel Google Chrome plugin, we were able to see the pricing of a product over time using the advanced algorithm of the deal-tracking system. We chose the lowest price, highest price and average price parameters so that readers can clearly see the difference in prices.

Too: Shopping for Prime Day this October? How to use Amazon’s devices to find the best deals here

The lowest price is the lowest selling price that was recorded, while the highest value is the highest value that was recorded on a site. (Since Amazon Prime Day is coming, we chose Amazon as our main reference site.) Keep in mind that the highest price is almost always MSRP value. The average price is calculated by a combination of prices for that product. It is important to note that the current price of the product is not always the highest price or average price.

We have created an interactive visualization to show these price differences using color coding (green for the lowest price, lush for the highest price, and blue for the average price).

To keep in mind what a good deal is, it is a deal-turning system that we use in ZDNET:

    • 1-9% discount: 1/5 Editor’s Deal Rating
    • 10-19% discount: 2/5 Editor’s Deal Rating
    • 20-29% discount: 3/5 Editor’s Deal Rating
    • 30-39% discount: 4/5 Editor’s Deal Rating
    • 40-50% (or more): 5/5 Editor’s Deal Rating

Overall, a 3/5 and deal rating is a deal that we think is worth buying. However, less than 20% deal can buy great based on case-by-case, especially for products that do not see sales often-like new Apple products.

    Which deals are worth it

To see which deals are worth it, the lowest price and highest price comparisons are best to see if you are getting good discounts. As you can see our top product visualization chart (Figure 1), Irobot Roomba J7+ had the biggest difference in the price between its lowest price and highest price ($ 350 vs $ 850). Both our top TV pics also had a big difference in pricing, which we usually find with most TVs, which makes something to watch the TV deal.

On the other hand, Sony WH-1000XM6 and OURA Ring Gen 4 had the lowest difference in average prices, respectively at $ 22 difference (5% discount) and $ 74 difference (15% discount). This means that previous deals on these products are not good. This also means that if you see more discounts on these two products during Prime Day, it is stopped, as these products will have the best deal yet.

However, budget product visualization (Fig. 2) was slightly different from our top products. Since they are very low prices in overall, the difference between their discount and pricing will be very low. We see the lowest price from only $ 5- $ 78 from the highest pricing.

Too: Best Amazon Prime Day deal under $ 100

The highest discount viewing budget products had beet studio buds at a difference of $ 78 (52% discount) and blink outdoor 4 camera at a difference of $ 75 (68% discount), which means that these products are considered good deals.

Other budget products, however, offered a short discount on a range of 10% and a range of 18%, like Torus Minimag Power Bank ($ 5 difference) and base Amazon Kindle ($ 20 difference), which did not make these-but still buy cheap for their low price tag.

Of course, we are not saying that if the deal is not very good, but just keep this Prime Day in mind that not every deal is not Is worth buying.

Sale incidents like Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the best ways to save on tech, especially large brands such as Apple, Samsung and LG.

Too: You have to know everything about October Prime Day

This year, October Prime Day is sold on 7-8 October. Black Friday will be on Friday, 28 November, and Falls on cyber Monday 1 December.
