If you are not sure what you want to hear or want a little help in creating the right playlist, you can ask for a chat for help. From today, both free and paid users can allow AI to find the right songs or podcasts.
You can already ask chat for the recommendations of the song, of course, by telling what you like to listen or tell what you want, but this feature allows AI to make recommendations on the basis of what you already listen and then put those playlists or tracks properly in your spotify.
How to use chatgpt in spotify
Here is how the feature works:
- While chatting with Chatgpt, mention Spotify. The first time you do this, you will be asked to add your Spotify account (this is completely opt-in, and you can connect or disconnect at any time).
- Ask chat, podcast, artist, playlist or chat for albums. You can say such things, “Create a workout playlist from the artists that I listen to regularly,” or ask for recommendations based on the vibes, theme or mood.
- Once your list is generated, you can tap on a track to open it in the Spotify app.
If you are a free user, you can source the songs of the Spotify Playlist that are already on the app, including Discover Weekly and New Music Friday. If you are a premium user, you will be able to turn on more detailed signals in “fully individual selection of tracks”.

Spotify says it continues to work on its privatization technique with the expertise and insight of its human editors, so there is a song for every moment. The company notes that it is still a “early day” for this feature, so not every request can be available yet.

The partnership took place a few weeks later when Spotify strengthened its stance against “AI Slope” and vowed to help fight the low-quality AI-borne music that takes away from real artists.
